When I upgrade my boots I'll be checking these out. I still have the tongue stiffener from my old Driver SIs.
In the meantime keep this in mind.

My kid's artery is very close to the surface of the foot. It took forever to find ski boots that didn't cause much pain and suffering.

Yo Loafers!,
I just got some tix i need to use this season. Do you think the mountain will be open and worth a trip after the reggae fest? I'm blocked that weekend.
Thanks

I had dreams once....
TD1s with a bunch of extra bales, some are new, extra toe levers. Many plates and an instruction sheet.
Basic Snowpro bindings best for powder or all mountain riding.
plus shipping from Concord, NH 03302
cheers, Spencer

Thanks all.
i have used Flow bindings but couldn't fix the heel lift.

I hiked up a blue square trail today and was shocked at the number of really dangerous skiers and boarders coming down the hill.
It was very very firm.
70% of both types of sliders were unwilling or unable to use their edges. And half the folks that could use their edges were still going far faster than they could reasonably control themselves in a bad situation.
It is NH school vacation but the trouble was across the age spectrum.
I think I'll stick to more of the mid of midweek days.

Its been nearly a year since the last post and we are heading into sale season.
Any updates or comments on the Step-on system?
Anybody abandon them? Anyone fall in love? Anymore modifications?

My knees say no to hardboots, not a fan of straps, sticker shock with the Burton Step-on gear.
Anyone on the Clicker step in system?
Suitable for a svelte 200lb 60yo who only rides in good snow?

There is a guy that shows up at Ragged mt in NH every now and then and kills it on a snowskate. never on icy days of course but pretty much everything else and on weekends too.

Ragged had one and a half WRoD going today.
Plenty of snow on the trails. It got grabby early though. Crazy crowded.

I had the Oxygen version of Superpipes many years ago.
Since my Burton SI system died i have been using Koflach Degrees with stiff ski boot liners in strap bindings
It works well enough but I only ride in good snow these days.
The Degre shells take a huge range of liners.

Dear All and Sundry,
My son just got a board and it looks fun enough that I'm thinking about getting my first board since 1979.
I'm looking for websites that could help a svelte 200lb, middle age guy, find the right board. All I want to do is keep the wheels on the ground and turn, turn ,turn.
There was a great video that was maybe on the old Bomber site of a kid on a fish shaped board freeriding down a city street that looked like a blast.

Is this a Gravity vs Terminal Velocity vs Coefficent of Drag discussion?
Cuz if it is count me out! I am decent at crosswords however.

I've watched a few of the S Korean soft boot carving videos AND I just acquired an excellent condition Gnu CHB and
said to myself, "self, instead of a splitboard how about a DIY tail cut out to rip like the kids?"
In the distant past, perhaps at the old site there was a bunch of talk about reshaping the tails. A cursory search got me no where.
Anyone cut up a perfectly good board or could point me to some good info or have an opinion on this bad idea?
Thanks

Maybe it's because I've been passing a ton of skiers lately cross-country snowboarding.

As a commercial truck driver I can tell you Hi-Viz clothing makes a difference.
I like to think I see everyone near the road. I can definitely say that hi-vis colors burn something into my short term awareness.
If I see hi vis colors, for some reason, I'll remember and track those better than dark or neutral clothes.
Scary but true.

Skiing with the kids most Sundays.
If the snow is good, probably getting up a few days midweek. Soft booting these days.
Fun hill.
Send me a pm.
Cheers, Spencer

I have saved the PowerWings from my original Mission GT Si's from back in the day. I graft them on to whatever binding i'm using at the time.

How many days on them? Any durability issues with the boots or bindings?
Thanks
Tick bite aftercare?

You should call your primary care provider.
If the tick wasn't on long enough to get a full feed, usually 24 hours plus, it probably didn't transmit Lyme.
However, ticks carry a whole lot of other nasty diseases.
You'll most likely get the prophylactic dose of doxycycline.
Get ahead of it.
