  1. hmm ... maybe I should try to use the boots as is.. we finally got some cold weather and local area (boston mills) will open few slopes and I got season ticket.
  2. I can fit 2 fingers in the shell, it's just the liner - it's too short. Where would I try to find bigger liner or just go for the moldable from bomber and even if I change boots I can always keep the liner?
  3. Am I doing something wrong and alpine gods just hate me? Third paid of boots in several years and I still can't find the ones that fit me. I did the trick with the piece of cardboard and found my MP size (somewhere between 26-26.5) So today I get my new boots that I got off eBay (used once so no packing in liner) Blax dsm something. And I can feel that liner is short but shell is big enough. I don't really think that's the liners are moldable and I can feel that toes are squished together.. should I just sell them and just get 27? Get a new liners?
  4. That SES looks like a great place to start, hopefully they will have that Donek Axxess to try out. Im' pretty set on a Catek stepins though becouse of all the adjustments
  5. My good friend and mentor swears by Volkl RT... the new ones have bigger nose so it's not as bad in deep snow but still a great carver
  6. I heard that FP primes are good, but I just can't bring myself to ride on something with on 3 screws holding me... it's 3D, right?
  7. I'm at the point where I think that I need to consolidate my boards and not having to carry around 2 boards everywhere. Right now I have Radair Hornet 150 and Nitro Blazer 163 (all 140 contact) Next month I'm going to Colorado for the first time and want it to be perfect. My favorite board is Radair which is pretty much an exact replica of Volkl renntiger of the same vintage. I want my board to be universal - to be able to make tight turns an the local crowded resorts and still enjoy myself in Colorado. I feel that 140 is a bit small for me and I can handle something bit bigger (144?) I just got a Blax dsms off the ebay to replace Burton Furnace and planning on getting Catek stepins
  8. just noticed Derf has exactly the same bindings as his avatar!
  9. what's the Derf said - As far as I know carriers are stepins, those are normal toe and bail type. I don't have the original box though. From what I remember and from Carver's almanac those are race plates. Michael -- it's in eBay action you set the price
  10. I got my first set for sale: Burton race bindings used for about one season (trying to move to cateks) linky Raichle SB222 MP27 also used for about season or so, realized they were too big for me (im 26) linky and my first board Oxygen Element 630 not really racing, but still was great fun until I got my radair hornet linky
