  1. The discussion here gets in the wrong direction ... all my information is directly from Sigi!!! I have the 2011 catalogue here ... it says 0,3mm titanal layer for both models ... and if you look at the website for this year, you will also find 0,3mm titanal layers for both boards ... as some said - what should be the advantage?

mc-alex is an insider and he has both models ... he also knows what he is talking about ...

The force is completely new - as I said before - the running length of the 165 is 15cm longer than this year´s 167!!!

Gerald, I have the same info, all identical.

But, maybe a mistake when you look on the edge. The FR have a black topsheed base and the FR proteam have a white topsheed base, maybe this is a reason to think the titanal thickness is different.

  2. No, the Wind are not the softest.

    1999-2000: Fire * > Wind / Ice > Earth

    1997: Furnace > Reactor > Shadow > Boiler / Freecarve

The Fire is a stiffer Wind and replaced the Furnace.

The Furnace is a stiffer Reactor.

The Ice is a women's Wind with one less clip.

The Earth is the same as the Shadow

The Boiler is the same as the Freecarve, but with better hardware (lean mechanism, clips)

You can take a look at my old catalogs page.

But, the first year FIRE ( I mean the first transculant) was the stiffest, much more harder than the younger editions.

  3. The burton screws, as well as the screws Fin stocks, Come with a bit of loctite on them, The burton screws have a "band" of loctite in the threads them selves giving a better bond according to thoose in the know.

This is the info I gathered from several coaches after we all had several vist screw fail under several riders feet causeing fail the lead to ripping the plate off the board and breaking the plate, luckly no riders where hurt but it was dicey.... On of our local guys ripped out at 60ish on a 200 sg stick.

The stock screws are M6-14 the SG are very thick and have deep insert so the m6-16 clear no problem, but on some thinner and shorter Kessler SL sticks the M6-16 screws are too long on the closes inserts to the tip and tail.

All of the vist plates we sold to customers came with AR-70 grade M6-16 screws I and my athletes run them on all our GS Kesslers, Priors, and SG SL board. I bought them at a local scre shop in a bag of on hundred for 17 bones.

Matter of fact I sat next to you at steamboat in the regestration office up stairs and told you about the faliures and the nessacery screw up grade after all of the other coachs and I discucced all the possible soulitions including the use of Burton screw so you could keep you clinets safe also, Cuz you know how much I care!:1luvu:

Using the stock Vist screws is bad news and dangerous!

I think that's not correct, my VIST (the one that Wintergold bought) came with 14mm screws.

  4. The reason I ask is because I´m debating between the Full Race T and the Pro Team Edition.

According to Sigi the Pro Team has just a different graphics. So 100€ for a different topsheet is quite a lot ...

Which length did you decide on?

    I will go for a 163 and a 185.

You mean the difference between "Full Race" and "Full Race Pro Team"? The difference is on the graphic.

But, when you will buy 2 different lengths, I prefer a "Race" (162) and one "Full Race" (185), the "Race" with the longer nose is much more easier to handle without different snow conditions, "Full Race" is a really hardcore racing maschine.

Maybe you will write me a U2U and we can talk in german.

  5. @mc-alex - this point goes to you ;) Of course I haven´t seen the boards for real - only the pictures ... I just meant the mainly black topsheet ... Do you own one of these? Because production hasn´t started yet. Only samples are out ...

No, I havn't got my new board yet but I have proof files.

  6. Hans, your the best!!!

The graphics are good, but not really spectacular :D

I guess the orange tail is the team edition and the white tail is the ´normal´ full race.

According to SG there are slight changes to the chamber and the flex of the race models ...

Not spectacular?! On the pics, right, but when you have the board in hand you can see a rhombic design on the fullrace, very great design.
