  1. What's the best / fastest way ( website ) to get the results from the Race To The Cup in Copper. I know that you can find the results on the FIS site ( www.FISSKI.com ) but sometimes, it may takes a couple of days. Is there other websites to get the results. Also, can I find detailed results ( timing ).

Also: Rumors from Copper...Schedule change : No parallel race ? Only GS ??

  2. First, what you need for an FIS sanctionned race is a FIS membership. This will take you few days. RTTC ( or other Noram races ) is FIS sanctionned.

FIS points are giving to the first 90% of the racers finishing the course. For example, if you have 53 racers, 3 of them are disqualified ( missing gate ) than out of 50 racers finishing the course, only the first 45 will receive FIS points.

The Parallel Slalom race formula is always the same, first 2 runs for qualification, fastest combine time will rank the racers, then top 16 goes head-to-head. So for a while, you make 2 runs per event.

  3. The problem is that having a separate junior race in the same time as a Noram race make thing almost impossible to chase FIS points and rankings among Junior.

    2 scenarios:

    - Have a race set a different day, maybe the afternoon before to have all the junior race against each other and establish a ranking. This would validate all the race structure ( timing etc. ) but make an extra day for the organisor.

    - Have a combined regular race and after qualifications, take the best 8 junior outside the overall top 16 and make finals and podium with those 8. This would give race mileage for the junior. But make it tough for the organisor as this will make a long afternoon.

If you do a separate race the same day, I will go for the official Noram that give me FIS points...

    My though

  4. Bozzetto: "I have done so much for the sport that I wanted to have another chance on a new board brand. I'm so glad I decided this way."

Did someone know he is on which board brand

I have seen a picture from the Landgraaf podium ( he finished 1st ) but we only see the nose of the board, the only thing I can say is that it is a metal top sheet and that it did not seem to be the Kessler nose but am not sure...

  5. I've been looking for the perfect board cover for months. I want something that protect the base and I can throw the board in the trunk without worry. I want tough, thick material. The only thing that I saw on the net that look like what I'm looking is the F2 Neoprene Cover.

    http://www.f2-snow.com/f2race/ look at "accessories" section

Did anybody saw one in a shop or a product similar ?

I saw few racers with something similar, but nobody bought it this side of the ocean.

    Thx for the help

  6. I have/had 2 of these board:

A 163 that I used couple years ago and sold it last year.

A 155 that I used last year as a PSL board, I damaged one edge last spring and I won't be able to race with it again. I fixed it and I will keep it for spring snow.

Those board had a progressive radius, according to your weight distribution ( forward or not ) you could acheive different radius. Very lively board indeed, Cap construction. Mine was pearl white, go figure what year it was.

From what I heard, Elan is building the Sigi Alpine snowboard.

  9. MJB - I agreed that it was very interesting for any young racer to make the trip for 4 days of NorAm races. For me, I gained a lot of racing experience in a very short period of time.I doubled ( 2X ) my number of Noram races in that weekend. I would make that trip again, anytime.:biggthump

  10. The World Cup series is stopping at Calgary on March 2nd & 3rd. I believe they have a lot of job to do.

Norquay race was set in a very steep portion of their trail, the steepest I ever raced.
