kiwanoron
I just moved to Las Vegas 3 weeks ago. I was thinking about heading up to Brian Head on Friday for the day, I wanted to make sure it is worth the 3 hour drive? I went to the local resort just nort of town two days ago, but they only have two runs open...Thanks for any help! ~RON
Phil
the local resort just nort of town Lee Canyon - I have so many fond memories of that place. It is not very big, but there is a lot of fun to be had. Once the snow comes in, boy does it come in! I think that there is something like 5,000 feet above the lift line there or something immense like that. If you are into hucking cliffs at all, any size can be had and it is all public land for you to explore. There is some serious extreme backcountry up there. Don't give up on Lee yet. D-Sub
Bryan Head is...well..."so so" but...probably better than the local mountains, although ive never been Arizona Snowbowl, near Flagstaff, is probably reachable in 4 hours, depending. Chubz
Ron After living in FL and sustaining the injury last year, it's good to see you in search of..... Hope you had a good day. And lets look at hooking up for few beers next September when I'm out. Greg
todd
I used to manage the ski and snowboard schools at BrianHead. It's not a bad little place. With the base at 10,000 ft. they usaully have some amazing snow for southern Utah. It usually has some pretty good grooming. If you can go mid-week, you may have cordoroy much of the day. I think it is worth the drive from Vegas. Todd
