SWriverstone
Hi---I'm new to carving (don't have proper gear yet) and would appreciate watching some more experienced carvers and learn from them. Is there anyone in the DC area who carves? Local resorts (all relatively dinky) include Liberty and Whitetail. More distant/better resorts include Timberline and Canaan Valley...as well as Snowshoe. I spend most of my time at Whitetail, being only 40 minutes from there. Thanks, Scott in Shepherdstown, WV
Guest dudleydudley
Yup! Barry and I live in the metro DC area... I live in Arlington and he lives 20 minutes away. I think there are a handful of other hardbooters in the area.
Phil
There is also Ski Roundtop in PA. That is where I ride.
neil sunday
I'm a Ski Roundtop carver as well, mostly these days it's just coaching, racing and training for me. maybe someday i'll get out and freeride again... we have about five hardbooters on the team that can carve very well for a bunch of kids! Mark from East of Maui Surf SHop joins us sometimes, he's out of Annapolis, MD...
SWriverstone
Cool...good to know there a few hardbooters nearby. I'm still learning (and need to get some hard boots)...but I'll try to get up to Round Top at some point... Scott Shepherdstown, WV
