Hi Arden, To answer your questions, 1. yes the conditions at Butternut are typically pretty good, even if the weather hasn't been so kind. 2. I ride there around 30-50 times a season, depending on how busy I am at work. Where you coming from? I was planning on heading up there this Wednesday. I live near Wachusett Mtn and went to Butternut in the summer to pick-up a chairlift chair....they were selling a bunch of old chairs. Anyway, it looked like a great place to ride.
