yooperluke
So tell me why the Sidewinder isnt offered in a stepin version. I'm a greenhorn and the the Sidewinder has some appeal to me but i want a stepin TD.

Do a couple searches and you will find addition threads on the subject.
yooperluke
So what is your opinion of the retrofit? I read lots of the posts discussing possibilities and limitations with some concerns over height. I cant see where a couple mm's is going to radically change things unless one is super picky. No surprises really, it allows me to step-in and has a similar flex. I am currently riding with it only on the rear. I perfer the TD3 SI on the front. Perhaps if I had a stiffer set of elastomers for the front foot I would go with that. Just my personal preference. I think most riders will very much enjoy what the SW will do for the ride. I find there is a trade off and have opted for a stiffer front foot interface. Keep in mind I am 240lbs and ride a 184cm + Tinkler with full plate and TNT system.
