NMU Alpine Boarder
Kinda sad to see that Shaun Palmer won't get a shot to compete for a medal in a sport he pioneered...
gburgess
He gave it his best shot. Last week he finished 3rd at Stoneham. He would have made most teams. The US is stacked in SBX. If the US does not get a medal or two in men's SBX it won't be due to lack of talent.

Shaun certainly would have made the race more interesting to me. He is a Gold Metal character with rich history in snowboarding.
philfell
Yup, if Shaun would have got a 2nd, instead of a 3rd last week he would have been in. Also if Ross Powers would have got an 8th instead of a 9th he would have went. Super close competition for the SBX team this time around. Our next 4 guys who did not make the team would be a fully legit National team for pretty much any other country, except maybe Canada.
