Guitar Splinter (in my ass) err Center owns these two (and an ES335) and tours them around, they were in Sandy Eggo today, so I had to stop by. Sorry for the picture quality, (or lack thereof) I only had my cell phone. And again. Lacquer didn't last long in the hands of Slowhand. Even the neck plate was corroded, but the springs are strangely crisp (and numerous). Also, the cavity was all scratched up, likely from him cramming the piece of wood in there to block the trem. More nitro carnage Lenny. Uhh..there musta been something on my lens. Check out the plugged truss rod access hole. Check out the burn where the string tree was pulled out. Bent whammy anyone? Some cherry strats.. Very cherry indeed.. Well, I saw a 5 million dollar guitar, held a $58,500 '64, and got a free Fender T shirt. Now THAT's a day at Guitar Splinter.
