philfell
So far that is all that's listed on the FIS site. USSA usually tries to have 3 race to the cup events, so I wouldn't be surprised if they added on somewhere, but the CSF has to get things going up there, only one event??? The one at Tremblaunt is Nor-Am finals and alternates between the US and Canada it's their turn to host it so it looks like they piggy backed it with some other stuff. philfell
No Park City this year. The local crew there didn't pull thier weight with getting help for the event so the higher ups in the team management said no more high level events. Guest Boardbum
its unfortunate, it seems that the Alpine guys are getting the short end of the stick. This is not good leading up to 2010. CSF for some reason seems slow to get there schedule out every year, maybe because they have to waite for other NSO to come out with there Schedule. Its no wonder some of Alpine guys switch over to BX
Seb
Maybe other places can look at what is going on at Le Relais. The race is held by...the SKI racing team as a fund raising event. They don't have any snowboard race team, and in any other time of the year, it's pretty rare to see anyone on raceboard. But, this small ski station have good installation for a ski course and they try to hold as many events as possible. Snowboard race fits well their capacity. For a Ski hill with the proper timing equipment, a race course is the easiest competition to hold ( vs SBX or Halfpipe ). With a minimal crew, you could put a race in place within 12 hours ( a good night without sleep ) and give back the trail within 2 hours of the end of the race. You don't have to build SBX features ahead of time where you don't want to see regular people try them, etc. Pic shows last year finish lane at Le Relais. You could see the race from the paking lot... Seb

I hope Cypress holds a few big races, to get ready for 2010. Seb
Cypress is hosting a World Cup race. This year, there will be 2 WC races in Canada ( Cypress+Stoneham ) + 1 in USA ( Sunday River ) All in February !!! This should help development team riders to try the World Cup Circuit as the host country has 6 extra spots for a WC race. Seb

philfell
Maine is a World Cup, so your borke a$$ wouldn't need to go there, unless you qualify for a spot.
