This is such an open ended question, because so many factors need to combine to make it happen on ice. First your technique need to be super solid. This is more important than the board. Next your tune needs to be good, again this is probably more important than the board.

As far as a board goes, board flex has much to do with it, as well as dampness, camber profile, and the materials the board is made with.

On hero snow you can get away with leaning into the turn too much, got all the grip in the world to fall into. On ice, you need to have to keep your CG on or very close to the edge of the board/ski; if you don't then you experience the sensation of there not being any grip - sometimes you feel it too, ouch.
