  1. Daveo, I am using TD2 bindings. From the info I received here ski boots are definitely out. Found a pair of Raichle 124 snowboard boots. Look to be in good shape but bottoms look worn.

How does this boot compare to the Burton reactors I am using?

Are parts available to replace the bottoms if needed?

  2. Jim,

The only reason I asked about the deeluxe is that it was recommended to me and was told that it would work with my alpine boards.  I do not have access to hard boot equipment in my area. Like I said, I would like to get something lighter and more comfortable. My reactors are quite heavy and I don't need that stiff of a boot.

After reading daveo's post I'm not sure I want to go with the deeluxe. I'll check out the upz rc10.

I want to keep riding as long as I can and I think a lighter boot and board would really help.

I'm open to any suggestions. I appreciate the input.

  3. Hi,

I'll be turning 70 soon and am looking to find some lighter riding equipment.

Presently riding a Donek free carve and Nidecker all mountain board. Both are 167's. Using TDll.

Thinking of buying a pair of 'Full tilt classic ski boots
    to replace my Burton reactors.

    Question:

Would this be a good boot for me?

Will this boot fit the bail on my TDll?

Would also like to get another deck. I really like what I'm ridding now. The Nidecker is always a fun board and the Donek is a rock solid ride. Would like to get a deck that is lighter and has a little more flex.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  4. Hi, I have been riding alpine boards for about ten years. I have saved enough money to buy my first pair of new boots but am totally confused as to what would be appropriate for me.

I am in my mid sixty's, 150 Lbs and 5'8". I ride a couple times a week for about 4 hours at a pop. My boards are a Nidecker proto II all mountain and a Donak Frecarve, both 167. My bindings are TD II's.

The boots I am presently using are Burton Reactors that I bought used. I am looking for the most comfortable boot I can find. I live in W. Mass. and would go north if I knew where to find the right boot. I could also shop online for boots because I have a very average size foot, 9 1/2.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

    Nick
