  1. NCERMAK:

Yea, 10K is a courtesy but an insult if that was his salary. That money came from our personal account.. It's not my husbands job to pay for PCSBT coaches, travel, lift tickets etc when that team first fell apart last November. There was a salary agreed upon for all three coaches. Because Kevin has "a spot in his heart" for PCSBT he paid above and beyond the agreed upon amounts.

For the record, this wasn't paid to Billy, it was to coaches, travel, lift tickets, equipment, bindings, and sponsored team dues and had nothing to do my involvement with the sport.

  2. Seraph:

Oh no.. No need for you to STFU.

You are absolutely right about in person as opposed to being on a board. I should have. I make mistakes and am willing to admit them when necessary. My original post to Billy wasn't meant in cruelty, only a question in a forum. I should have handled it differently. Absolutely. No doubt. Live and learn.

I responded to the vultures or old "acquaintances" - beyond Billy - because words were poorly conveyed and misconstrued.

  3. Interesting feedback.

First off, I never questioned Billy’s passion for the sport. I never said he should choose coaching over being a dad. I have no doubt that because Billy has chosen to be a stay at home dad, that the person his son will become will be nothing short of an extraordinary athlete as well as person. Some of you chose to take my words out of context and completely take this thread to a level that is just plain silly. Since my point or question was poorly presented, let me clarify for the vultures.

My question was referring to his energy presented towards the US Team vs the attention given the Park City Team Athletes this year - which Billy had always been good to. Two weeks before pre season training started, PCSBT found out that they had no coach, after most had funded themselves so to not have a coach at the last minute has created a real problem. *Some athletes have moved to other teams causing those athletes extra expense and stress and the ones left behind still have yet to find a coach. Billy has chosen to be a stay at home dad, hey, rock on, but people were hurt and disappointed to find out so late in the season. Billy *is* a great coach and most people know that a good alpine coach is a very rare thing. What good coaches are out there are either coaching elsewhere or have pursued other opportunities for themselves outside of Park City.

I would have asked Billy that question whether or not he had a child. I didn’t bring his child into my original post. You people did. I stand by my post.

Billy, I am not condemning you for choosing fatherhood over coaching. I am asking why you chose to expend energy to voice how others should fund riders when there were people here who were funding riders as well as you personally. You may not have made much last year, but I know that Kevin gave the team and the coaches close to $10,000 because it was *you* that the team wanted and believed in. What’s wrong with asking why you couldn’t let it be known sooner that you wouldn’t be back? Perhaps, if one looks into the details, one can see the similarities between the US team and the PCSBT issue. This is not about having a kid, it’s about following through with hopes and expectations.

Josh,...Oh Josh... Tell me something. How does being fortunate equate with being spoiled? You are the last person in the world to question my hard work and integrity. While I’m addressing you, how about you pay Kevin back for the two pairs of bindings he got for you. Hey, did you ever pay up on your team dues from a few years ago? How about that rent you skipped out on or is that only the spoiled who actually pay for things? If you’re going to be embarrassed for anyones mistakes, make it your own. :smashfrea

  4. please Send USSA a e-mail, note, letter, phone call, something!!!! And ask why?

What I find interesting is the amount of energy that you - Billy - spend fighting a battle (US team vs. USSA) that was settled last summer. What really needs to be asked is why the Park City team doesn't have a coach this year. Alot of people stuck their neck out for the PCSBT last year only to be let down. Same story, different team.

    Ask *why* where?

  5. Now that Ross and I have started our program here we could make a pretty good arguement about what is the best Colorado training program. Our program is more set-up for established athletes trying to make the jump from nor-am level onto the world cup and higher level spots on their national team. Right now we are working with developement programs from 5 different countries.

Copper Team and Aldora is a good place to go for more recrational type of racing. Steamboat is good if you are serious, but are inexperienced, or have developed yourself through their program and choose to continue having the same coaching. Our program is set-up to take an established compeitor and turn them into a pro.

*Said in SNL Weekend Update voices*

Really? Seriously really? I mean really really?

    Huh.

  7. I have the formable liners. They DO pack out and as of now (my second season in them) I put those toe warmers on just to keep my toes and feet from moving. IMO -They are not messy, are not too snug and they do work for the movement of hardbooting and I feel are worth the price The best benefit from them is that I finally do not have any heel lift. The worst part is that they are not warm AT ALL! I never use to have an issue with cold toes and now I do.

  8. You really use that as a screensaver!

This must be one of the miracle race suits she is wearing that stretches indefinitely:eplus2:

    Sponsored by McDonalds!

What an absolute shi**y thing to say.

    Just plain cruel and unnecessary.

I'm certain you have never seen this phenomenal athlete race nor could you even hope to qualify in her category.

This is such a tough sport and racing is even more difficult, keep the lack of support to yourself.
