  1. Red in the pic you posted that board looks like a coiler to me, not a Kessler. I could be wrong though.

The boards were brandless, heard people talk about him riding brandless kesslers instead of coilers.

The question I asked myself was, why on earth would he ride brandless coilers.....?

Must say it was a great experience to be able to train with the Canadian team the weekend before the world cup, what a great group of people!

They made 17 year old Mirjam feel so welcome and at home during the week leading up to the race that her first WC race became icing on the cake instead of a nerveracking experience!

Congratulations to Jasey, Caroline, Kimiko and Tyler with the outcome of the race to the cup event at Copper!

Look forward to seeing the complete results on the FIS site.

  2. Had a bad one last thursday at the Dutch championships in Laax (CH).

Caught an edge after hitting a rockplate just under the snow on my first run and got lauched. Hit the snow with the back of my head and was very glad I was wearing a helmet! Don't see myself racing without one after this....

  3. I must say that reading this thread makes me feel sick to my stomach!

Joel, I hope you recover as fully as is humanly possible.

Must say that I've heard of exploding intec heels at least three times the past two months, and thats just here in tiny Holland.

Seems like the worst case scenario anyone could think of...........

Does anybody know if this has to de with recent production runs of the heels or has this problem been there for longer?

I also read a lot of negative comments about Burton bindings, I race Burton Physics with toe bails and the Burton heels along with 2005 Deelux Indy's and like them to bits, whats the problem?

    Take care and be safe!

  4. Thanks for your reply Phil,

Fragile is the word, they need to look into this, the boards are very, very expensive and one would like to think that this kind of thing is a one-of.

But as you stated, it's happend before................

Heve fun in Chile and keep us informed.

  5. Hi There,

read a post a couple of months ago about the modification of the spring mechanisme of the Deelux Indy's.

Can anyone direct me to that post, I can't seem to find it.

Also I read about modifying the canting system, I can't find that one either.

    Thanks for the help, Martijn

  6. Have encounterd major quad burn in Zermatt (CH) just after the new Year.

    Mostly in the front leg.

happy to say it vanished after two day's.

Problem is I substituted it for chest pains, I broke a couple of ribs the second afternoon!!!

I've been told that front quad burn could be a result of not being properly centerd on the board.

Conditioning was what I had been doing in the months leading up to my trip to Switserland, two to three hour spinning sessions in the gym, up to ten hours of riding my board indoor here in the Netherlands a week etc. but still quad burn.

I think the altitude also had a big influence

my muscles filled up with lactic acid in no time at 10.000 feet and above!

  7. Hi All,

Can you tell me what I need to do to prepare my new slalom board for it's first ride.

I'm Expecting an even stiffer R17 160 than the one I sent back teusday in the coming week.

I'd like to prepare it as best I can before riding it the first time!

    Stone grinding?

    Structuring?

How many times of waxing and with what sorts of wax?

    Thank's for you're input,

    Martijn
