  1. I have Cartel Re Flex bindings mounted on a Coiler Contra (4x4 mounting pattern). The front binding maxes out at 37 degrees and the rear maxes out at 27 degrees with the burton unidisk. Does anyone have experience with these bindings? I'm try to make the angles symmetrical at 37 degrees. 1st picture is the rear binding

Is the outside shoulder lagging, or is the board gradually getting ahead creating the appearance of a lagging shoulder?

There is a prevalent perception that one needs to actually ‘get’ onto the nose of the board to initiate a turn. This is essentially false. Rather, one needs to remain in an effective location tip to tail as the board rolls from edge to edge, in order to make use of the bend that develops.

Perception being what it is, it’s easy to mistake the pressure that develops under the lead foot  as something that needs to be sought by way of forward movement, rather than something that will develop if one is simply in the right place at the right time.

So, as you enter the heelside turn, ensure that you have enough weight on the rear foot so that the board cannot rotate underneath you as the turn develops. This being a common byproduct of too much weight on the front heel, or merely initiating heelside edge engagement with the front foot rather than both feet.

In order to engage with both feet, it's often helpful to find the heelside edge first with the rear foot.

Initiating the heelside turn with the front foot is detrimental to your progression. I learned this the hard way. Erik was able to point this out in my riding very quickly. Proper instruction is invaluable.

  3. Hello, I just received my new BXFR Wide from Bruce and just purchased Cartel X bindings. I wear a size 11.5 boot and wanted any insight as far as setting up the bindings goes. I'm not sure how long to make the foot bed. Should the toe of the boot go past the gas pedal? there seem to be 4 settings on the binding that make the base longer or shorter. Anyone have these bindings yet?

  4. Hello, someone posted videos from this years event of a male rider and a female rider. Both riders were very smooth but I can't seem to find the videos. I believe there were 2 videos. One focused on the male, the other was focused on the female. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Wow, this is such a great deal who could resist some stinky used liners!?

I'll trade you 2 pairs of used boxers, 3 if you include shipping!

Don't quit your day job. You're not that funny. These may be useful for someone getting into the sport that has old shells with beat liners that doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

  6. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger and getting new bindings. Does anyone have pros and cons regarding F2 Intec Titanium vs. F2 Intec Titanflex? My current setup is a Coiler Nirvana Balance 174 with TD3 standard bindings and RC10's with Intuition liners. Any insight would be helpful.

  7. My friend is in the market for a new snowboard. He is currently riding a Vapor and BMC by Burton. He is considering a new custom by Burton. For the price, is there better quality out there for all mountain riding? Rider is intermediate. Any feedback would be appreciated.
