Kids at the top of the run after @martock_carver did a nice toe side on a bank: "Yooooo, that was sick!"
Then we saw a guy riding with negi negi angles. Not posi posi, -30ish degrees on both feet. Not riding switch, just enjoying a weird day of snowboarding.
Yeah, I'm never gonna unsee that

Hi Bill,
I have a pair of F2 bindings that I bought from this very site that I can offer you (just a smidge too big for my boots). Haven't listed them yet but feel free to send me a message!
Glad to see you getting back into it! My goal is to keep on railing turns well into retirement so reading your story is great motivation!

I was a service tech at my local hill (actually how I got introduced to hardboots). My boss had a Prior WCRM and we had old Burton Amps and Speeds for me to learn on (both riding and setups). Was always excited when a hardboot customer came in (not many in NS), and always treated their gear with extra care (took reference pictures of the setups, noted angles and stance widths, etc.).
All I can say to this though, is they tried but hopefully it became a learning experience for them!

Unfortunately Dan won't be answering calls or emails. In case I'm not at liberty to say, I'm not going to give the reason why here.
All I will say is that his wife is tracking calls and emails on his behalf, and that there's plans of someone else taking over for Dan.
I was told to send emails to upzboots@gmail.com

Apologies if it's been asked (didn't find a thread about this in a search), but has anyone had any luck contacting UPZ Canada or Dan Yoja?
Would like to order some replacement heels and toes for my RC 10s but the site is down for maintenance:

Checking out the trail map at the top of Bromont:
Guide: "Can I help you?"
Me: "Sure. Can you tell me what runs are wider to carve on?"
Guide: "Do you do park?"
Me: *Looks down at my F2 Vantage 168, then back up at him* "...No"

Shark's Boutique in Laval might have them Patrice. That's where I found my F2 Race Ti mediums.

While on my Mono last week, I overhear a guy tell his gal... Look he's on a Uni-Board
I knew about tele-boards but what is an Uni-board supposed to be?

First run today a softbooter (mid-30's) checks out my F2 in the lift line:
"You guys can REALLY carve on those things! It's so fun to watch!"
Me: "Yep, it's real fun to ride too!"
What a nice way to start the day

Sadly I never met the man, but I know that without Burton I likely never would've gotten on a board at all.
Like most here I remember my firsts: first lesson, first ride, first carve, all of them on Burton boards. From our shop's LTR's, to riding directional on a Cruzer 164, to getting a taste of alpine and even asym on an Amp 160 and M6 (which I still ride today). Even my first board to call my own was Burton - a Speed 168w, where the bulk of my carving mileage is.
He truly made snowboarding accessible to all, and the best way we can thank him is to keep on riding. Hats off to you Jake.

Hey if the Silberfeil is still available will you ship to Canada? Currently in NS (would pay for shipping of course!)

By chance is the Burton Speed still available?

Hey is this setup still available, and are you willing to ship to Canada?

Hey really interested in the boots (looking to upgrade from '98 Burton Winds). Can't seem to view the pics though, mind sending some pics by email?

Hi all,
I own a pair of Burton Furnace boots, and the heel pieces on both are pretty worn down. Toe pieces are wearing out too. Anybody selling extras?
Dunno if it matters but the boots are size 10.5/11.0 (Mondo 28.5/29.0?).
Thanks

I gave my man a call, said that going from my current board (with a 22.5cm waist) to this (18cm) may be a bit too drastic of a change, especially since I'd have to steepen my angles (sitting comfy at 54/48). That and there's a board there I can tinker with that I wasn't aware of (Burton Speed 178 with 19cm waist) for free. I'm going to take his advice on this one, thanks for the info though :)

Yes. I have several Pals and PayPal is one of them :) If you would like more pics let me know

More photos? Yes please :)

Hey
I can let the board go alone. I got it used a few years back and I had it at hill once soon after I got my Coiler and the board has been in storage since. I think it is from the 96 vintage but can't be sure. The guy I got it from told me he did not use it much
Ok I see. Didn't realize that it was from the mid-late 90's, looks pretty darn good. Don't know much about the Factory Primes, only experience I have is on a borrowed Burton Amp 160 and now my Burton Speed 168w. I'll get back to you about it probably in the next few days. By chance do you do PayPal?

Board is in good shape no damage base is spotless. 18cm waist. Comes with race plates and a cant disk. Asking $80 for the board and $100 for the bindings This gear is old but not used much Make me an offer I can't refuse.
You got me interested mate, got a few questions though. Are you selling the board and bindings together or seperately? Mainly interested in the board, got my own bindings. Also how old is it and how much use has it seen?
Should we all just start straight lining? Is getting smoked by the general public from behind the new norm?

The high-speed starfish, truly the most terrifying thing to see going down a run
By chance was this the close one when we were out at Holiday? Because that one was right out of control, still not sure how you dodged it
