  1. SOLD SOLD SOLD.

Here is my F2 Silberpfiel 172 for sale.

I haven't used it in recent years, although it has been carefully stored, hung deck side down to retain the camber. In total it has probably had 20 days riding in the french Alps always in good snow conditions. It has had one gentle base grind and always waxed when appropriate. One small nick on the nose - see picture.

    Waist width is 180mm

Nose and tail max width are 235mm

Not sure of the radius - anyone got the specs?

Can send more pictures - pm me your email address.

I am asking $200 for this, which includes insured courier delivery by DHL to USA from England in about eight days.

    Papyment by Paypal preferred.

Please see my other ads for Burton Raceplates and Raichle AF 700 TS boots.

  2. SOLD SOLD SOLD

I have a pair of Raichle AF 700 TS boots for sale.

    Size Mondo 28.5, US 10.5, Euro 44.5

These were bought new in early 2005 and have been used for seven days - marriage, kids, now living 1000 miles from the nearest snow has meant no use in the recent years.

I believe they were superceded by the Deeluxe Suzuka, which was a name and colour change in 2005 or 2006, although I prefer the subtle black, silver combination of these.

There are no scratches or evident rubbing and only a small amount of wear on the heels from walking to the lift station.

Lots more pictures available - pm me with an email address.

I am asking $210 for these, but this does include courier shipping by DHL from here in Europe to anywhere in USA. Includes insurance, will take about eight days, but will need to be signed for on delivery.

    Payment by Paypal preferred.

See separate ads for F2 Silberpfiel and Burton Raceplates - All barely used.

  3. SOLD pending payment

I have a complete Burton Raceplate set up used for seven days in total.

    They come complete with:

    • Standard vari-cant
    • Special micro-cant kit which was I believe was a hard to find option for race tuning.
    • Both red and yellow polymer dampers.
    • Both 3D and 4D plates
    • Extra screws, leash, Burton booklet and unused stomp pad

They are in immaculate condition, even having the keft and right stickers in place. More photos available.

I am afraid that I have to ask $140 for these, but this does include courier shipping by DHL from here in Europe to anywhere in USA. Includes insurance, will take about eight days, but will need to be signed for on delivery.

    Payment by Paypal preferred.

  4. I guess the easy option would be to fly to Salt Lake City and get the bus to Park City, go and catch up with my old mate Martin Drayton.

I like the ide of California, but not five hour drives - Just like driving from UK to French Alps.

What about Colorado? Are there any resorts close to Denver?

  5. I may have to travel from Europe to a company sales event in Anaheim CA mid February.

It seems to make sense tacking at least a long weekend onto the trip to go boarding... But it will be a low cost DIY trip and rely on what I can arrange/book online while traversing West > East coast.

    So, what would you recommend?

Is there anything driveable from LA?

Would I be better flying to Boulder or somewhere else between LAX and London (I did Park City a few years ago)?

    Any advice gratefully received.

  6. Hi Ricky,

Only one thing for it here in the UK - Move to the Alps and ride every weekend!

Getting a couple of weeks on snow each year just doesn't allow the legs to build up enough to completely eliminate quad burn.

I do serious road cycling and give my legs a serious Gym workout a couple of time a week, yet I know that come Val d'Isere next week, my legs are going to suffer, seriously!

  7. I have boarded across several continents this year and have to say that the only country in which I wore a helmet was the USA. This was primarily because of the greater opportunity for tree-line boarding, and also because of the dangerous objects that the resort companies in the USA don't appear to bother signposting or guarding - trees, lift pylons, bridges, intersections, all without adequate fencing and protective padding. Combining the two makes a helmet a necessity.

In Europe and NZ the piste is much safer, and to be honest I wouldn't dream of wearing a helmet in France and Italy - How can one be Euro-cool when wearing a helmet is the equivalent of shouting 'I'm American'! ;)
