Me too! So much fun meeting and riding with other carvers who love the sport as much as I do. Thanks again Neil for holding the event and I hope you do it again next year. Yes we should have a Radar gun to test the speeds of plate and non plate systems. Can’t wait to see the video of the “Chinese Downhill” carving run everybody was in on Sunday. :)

I had a small hand held GPS in my car that records speed with great accuracy.:(
next year...

Same here :biggthump:biggthump, it was my first time participating in these events and it won’t be the last that’s for sure.
It was nice to meet all the guys and girls.
My vholdr camera didn’t do a good job capturing the action on the slopes, I think it had too much light to handle.
Can’t wait for all the pictures and videos from arcLite and carvingChef.

I could drive up to your house, and we could head out from there. What day/time would yoh want to head out. I'll also need lodging, what's the situation with that? Where is everyone staying?
Send me an email so we can work out details.

I know. We could all carpool topi/gcarve or.... gcarve and I could ride saturday morning at mt high and then head to SNES via 395
Even if the carpool doesn't work out may be we could work out something with lodging. Send me an email with phone# if interested.

Maybe I can tag along with you?
Sounds good, the only problem is that you're in OC. I am in Simi Valley, let me know if that works for you.

For share:
If any interest I could bring 163 F2 Silberpfeil and 162 Hot Blast.
I am also looking for a bed or floor for Saturday night so I wouldn’t have to get a room for 1 night. I am driving up Sat afternoon, have plenty of room.

You guys are too funny! I am tentative right now/ I could do it as long as I have a carpool/lodging buddy as last trip was a little steep for me to afford again so quickly.
I am heading up for 1 day(Sunday), we could carpool if that helps.
-
Yeah I would definitely like to go...maybe I can find a set of hardboots by then.
what size do you need?
-
I will be there Sat. night and ride Sunday.
-
I was going to head up for only one day but if forecast stays like this I’ll probobly skip it. Later date wold work for me too.
-
I am penciling the dates on my calendar.
As this thread needed another bump.
-
i will give you $60 for the blast ...it is kind of old and off brand!
pm sent.

The board(Hot Blast) doesn't have bindings asking $100 (OBO).
If you need bindings too I have a pair of snow pro race (mounted on the Speedster on the picture above) for $50.
If my prices are not reasonable somebody yell at me .
I'm available in Woodland Hills or in Simi Valley.

I have a 162 Hot Blast FS. It's in a really good shape.
it's the one in the middle.

If High doesn't fix their quad on the East resort I'll probably be at Summit on Sunday.
the quad was still down today, the place was pretty busy for a Thursday...
-
Thanks, Good Info!
How is Mt Baldy as an alternative, anyone tried it?
-
AM should be good.
East is supposed to be great and is open days
I'll confirm if I go and look for you?
I' am planning to be there tomorrow around 8am at the east parking lot. I have new gear (boots/bindings and board) so I am going to be tinkering a bit. Heading back home around 11/12.

I have that pad you left in my car on our last trip up the hill. Going sunday if anyone from oc is interested. Busy thursday night with kids...
Thursday morning "should" be fine, right?
-
thanks for the info.
Is Night boarding only at the West resort?
-
I got some new gear that I need to dial in before I hit some of the better places, so I was planning to go up MtHigh for a weekday morning session.
I’ve never carved before at MtHigh, Is it worth? Too crowded? Any particular run you guys recommend? Is the night skiing OK?
thanks

Sort of wondering the same thing. I think my Indies are shot, thinking about some 325s. Wonder how different they will feel. Has anybody RIDDEN them side by side for comparison? (And I don't mean a different boot on each foot! )
After much researching I came to the conclusion that 325 might just be too stiff for me. I read too many stories when people were comparing the 325’s stiffness to the 700.
I went ahead I ordered the 10/11 225T, I’ll report back n a couple of weeks how it pans out.

I’ve been using a pair of old Raichle SB boots(6yrs), need new ones! Looking to choose between this year’s Track 225 and last year’s 325.
According to the “Deeluxe Alpine Boots” comparison chart on http://www.yyzcanuck.com/snowboard_tech.htm the 325 has the same plastic-specs as the 06/07 Indy’s or the 07-09 T700’s.
I know that the shell design is different on the 325 as oppose to the 06/07 Indy’s or the 07-09 T700’s.
So, my questions is how much stiffer is the 325 than the 225?
Is the 325 closer to the 07-09 T700’s or closer to the 225?
Any other aspects of the two boots that are worth mentioning/comparing?
-
If you are happy with the fit and flex of your 323s, look into the Track 225.
Yapp, I am looking at those.
thanks guys! very, very helpful!:)

Dont worry if 7oo will be stiffer that your old 323, with BTS you can adjust them back to working boots, but be prepared for spending money for BTS.
Otherwise it will be step backwards due they will be too stiff for comfy rides.
is this the BTS?
SNES 2011, try #2 - 4/16 to 4/17
