Well its about that time that i buy my own first car....
Been driving my dads 09 cobalt for some time now and its time for my own wheels.
Just looking for some ideas, some thought on if itll work in snow or just be a total mess.
So far i have my mind set on a 1998 Buick Regal GS? Any Thought? Good/Bad?
Next choice is a 1998 Ranger XLT 4x4
Then on to a 1996 Mustang GT 5 speed, last.
Thanks for any and all input?

I would like to now the board is it a Burton Factory Prime ?? What year is it ? What is your price for the board only without the binding? Is it stiff , and what is your weight ?
Thank you
Looks to be a Burton Speed 160.

Wow! That is a really nice "Step Up". You are going to love that REV!!! Chevy to Lambo kinda change. Enjoy!
Have you ridden anything like the REV?? It may be a bit of an adjustment at first. FYI, stick with it.
I took a demo ride for about 2 hours on a SG 185 pro t, (is what i think its called). It turned so easy. Edge hold felt amazing compared to the renn. Then while i raced, the renn would only do things at speed and only wanted to go fast. Anything slow on that was just a workout bending the board to get it to turn. On the SG side of things, it did everything soft and nice, was such a thrill to ride. The only thing i think ill miss from the renn is the high flying tail while free carving, or the POP coming out of each carve.
To bad Sean hasnt shipped the a"f" plate yet, other wise my REV would feel complete.

After a year of questioning what i should do, i finally got a custom board. A Donek Rev 185.
After riding a full year on a old school Renn Tiger 185, whats to expect from this new board? Will i have to change my set up, change my riding style?
I ride VERY aggressive and I'm used to the "tail pop" after rolling out of a hard rail, will this be lost with this new board? My only other experience is
a Burton Speed 160 (my sl board) and a SG 185 Full Race T , I demo'd for about 45 minutes which felt smooth and razer sharp.

think we can get gates for almost free through nastar.
-
already have the blue and red study gates out there in the start house and extra timing, just need the snowboard panels.

and for coaching, coaching ourselves could be a possibility.
I wouldnt say this would be the best way to go about learning, but it'll work for a bit. We need hands on, realtime input from a coach to better our riding in the long run.

you wouldnt happen to be drew would you?
the problem we have at hidden valley is mainly we dont have coach or the equipment for setting a a snowboard gs/sl course.
i've been up for the starting of the team for the three years ive been racing with the ski team there.
about the best thing i can say is talk to hans, the guy who grooms: he also rides hardboots. and also talk to bob with management.

this me be a little off topic, but anyway i can meet up with someone to help me out with techniques while out at winter park?

car has a new motor, trans. only rust i found on the car was on the floor pan and tad bits on front and rear bumpers. seems like the car was painted before it was stored if that means much. pieced the doors backs together but still missing the locks. also started repairing the dash. new gas tank to be installed tomorrow.
hoping the car starts within the next year.

ive got a longboard also, so rotation as turning into each and every turn?

I dont want to feel as if im stealing ideas but i feel as this could be the greatest help to all new hardbooters who dont have the ability to riding with other hardbooters.
This is video from my fourth day riding hard gear.
Thanks to all in advance helping beginners before and after me.

When you start with Hardboots, start SLOW, you may be used to over correcting with softies. And dont force the board to do too much. Once you find the sweet spot of your board, you should be doing good.
