Didn't get hit but very well could have if not for quick thinking. Yesterday I was coming down the slope and i noticed a skier stopped off to the right hand side of the slope messing with his phone. Looking up the slope, seeing only two people a ways up the hill, I continued downward past him. A few turns down the hill I heard something behind me, I looked up and all three of them were there bombing down the hill. I was on the far left side of the slope and i was surrounded before I knew it. I ended up having to bomb the rest of the run just to keep from getting run into or diving into the trees.

I find myself in the same situation as ian. My toe clip broke this last weekend. Got one for me?

I sat down on the lift with my father and a couple probably in their late forties
(my best guess) and on the way up the lift there was a carver that went under the lift and the man says, "wow, you don't see that very often anymore" and his wife says, "See what?"
-He says "Carving!"
-"Whats carving?"
By then she had already missed him. So the guy starts explaining what it is and how they use an alpine or carving board.
-"Whats a carving board"
That was my queue. I lifted up my foot and said, "THIS" :D and the man just looked and it and said, "well i'll be darned"
Apparently he used to carve with a few of his buddies back in the day. He ended up following me down a run and told me he thought my riding was good. Glad i'm doing something right.
Ever see a teen or pre-teen on alpine ?

I'm 19 and I started last year and I love it. Been skiing since i was 5 and tried softbooting (5 or 6 days total in softies), saw this and dropped softbooting like a rock of the edge of a cliff never to be picked up again!
