Jack M - this is my 6th season focusing on SB carving - just started hardboots this season and I can turn harder but my feet get unhappy quickly - still playing with liners.

I ride the awesome 170cm Donek Flux with Flow NX2 Carbon bindings and Flow/Nidecker Talon or Deeluxe Edge Pro sof tboots. This is a great SB carving set up. Sean can make the perfect custom specs for your exact situation.

As a big rider, 225lbs, 6'0" size 12US - my set up is F39/R27 and my with 275mm wide board no issues with boot-out.

The Flux is also great in Powder but a bit too wide for hard crud - but it is a fast and excellent carving machine.

Added a new Donek Flux to the collection - now a trio of Silver Surfer intergalactic rides - new board is 175cm, 23.5cm waist, 12m/10m SCR. F2 Intec + Deeluxe Ground Control hybrid boots.

Yesterday was second day out with my buddy JohnE - had a truly magical day at Loveland - the very best carving in our 20 years of riding together - the new board completely rips - could not be happier with my Donek Flux rides.....Thank you Sean and team at Donek!!!!!

Yes John - after 20 years of riding together at Loveland - we had the very best carving day of our lives - absolutely amazing to be at the pinnacle of our carving ability in our 60's - you are such a stud!!!

[Deeluxe ground control]

I bought a pair of Ground Control boots as a first try at alpine riding. I'm pairing them with my inner boots from my Neidecker Talon soft-boots on F2 Intec bindings on top of my Swivler riser plates. I've worked with Donek to spec out a 175 Flux, 23.5cm waist, 9.5-11m SCR. Angles are F:45, R:36. Shown on an old Head Intelligence board.

I'll post later in the year how well they perform.
