  1. "YES" is a great suggestion and boom it will be done as soon as I end my day here.  Love it thank you!!!!

The other answer is ???? not sure yet as far as the ski thing goes unless I can make the ski myself in Europe with ELAN I forget the name of that company I made my Ride Snowboards at but I will think about it because the ski companies HATE what I am doing lol makes me want to double down though.... They try to convince me not to use their skis basically lol I said I can mount them on a fireplace if I want after I buy them they want me to tell you all the warranty will not work if you use them for my application lol 30 years never used a warranty.

That part of website has many more pictures and explanations coming.  But yes, it slides there are two slides one for the Magnesium plate and also on the ski derbies that mount to the skis are also sliding just like the race ski do but I made my own version which is narrower to allow the plate to go over and not hang over the ski edges.  But the red ski derbies are also sliding, and you can lock them where you like if you look carefully, you will see the aluminum screw washer things are round but then there are some ovel ones that is the lock.  Anyway, hard to explain but you will see this part soon be explained with diagrams probable not tonight it is 12 and I am tired.

  4. I have launched the ONESKI new website it is far from done and any advice would be fantastic especially with my English, I am horrible.  It is going to still be a while till it is complete and I will be changing many things but at least you can see some information you may have questions about get answered.   The start is my favorite, lol it reminds me back in the day when I started skiing Tyrolia ski bindings advertisement in Skiing Magazine said.... "For Experts Only"  I had to have them now, lol so dumb, but I got them later on when I could finally get them.  I was 14 years old, dreaming of ski racing one day...  I was a cross country skier at the time, not by choice.

So, you have already tried it?  Just trying to help Neil.  It has worked for many others maybe you should try it and if it does nothing then tell us your opinion.  I went into this trying to fix my head from many concussions, and I came out feeling great. The last thing I was trying to fix was my shoulder and that was the most obvious thing because I could move my left arm like normal after 2 years of not being able to...

My arm is no comparison, but many people have healed all types of cancer and other things. If you don't want to go, by all means don't go.  I would like to have people TRY to help me if I was in this situation that is for sure.

Well after 3 year fighting bladder cancer 8 surgeries and 1.5 year on chemo,  I had 2 days ago  entire bladder and prostate removed and piss hole was made in my belly. Of course one bag on belly and second on leg. Pretty much I am invalid. 3 weeks ago I did 60 miles backpacking trip at Sierra. After 33 years on boards and 25 on skis before this looks end of the road. Very sad,I can probably ride this web page only😪

Please never give up, that is the first rule, then believe in your power inside, not the doctors.  I will share a link to a new crazy healing it is unreal stuff. I have been doing this for a few weeks now once a week, the first day I did this my left shoulder that I screwed up two years ago which I could not even touch my back with that arm was like it never happened.  This stuff heals many people from cancer and all types of stuff people write in all the time read stories, it is very new I will guarantee you have one within 1 hour from where you live.  They are popping up everywhere, they are not allowed to charge more than $60 per hour. I do 2-hour session once a week.  Then please get back on the snow!!!

I don't believe the Oneski has a sliding axle, or any kind of movement like Allflex or Apex, in which case this consideration is less important/relevant.

Jack M, I do have slides but totally different than the normal. They are able to be asymmetrical which is the key if you ask me, that is how I am currently riding them.  However, you can set it up as you wish, symmetrical, both front left-side and right-side locking or both left-side and right-side back locking.  Since there are two sets of sliders below and top plate you can have those appose each other which then is like a center lock, but not really maybe better to say free floating, I have not tried this yet.  I hope this does not sound confusing, I am not the best at writing, anyone notice yet? It is really easy to understand when in your hands working on it.

I had a great phone call with @Mike Kildevaeld today and he is planning on joining us at MCC this year.  He is planning on bringing some demos for us to try and maybe even one for our MEGA Raffle!!

Mike is so passionate about carving/racing it was really fun to get to chat with him.  I am really looking forward to getting to ride his gear!

Yes, I enjoyed our call very much as well brought back some great memories.  I will be in Montana Jan 29 - Feb 1 for the MCC.  I will bring demos, also I will have a ONESKI plate with a pair of Stocklis skis attached for the MEGA Raffle.  Let's all figure out how to get there sounds like a blast, pray for hard snow two days and powder last two days.

    Warren Miller, you coming?

  9. Here is another video might be worth watching to understand more about the ONESKI Snowboard... It is tried by Chris Trap who is the brother of Mike Trap 2018 Winter Olympics and Michelle Gorgone 2006 Winter Olympics, She did not try it but she watched.  Chris is a good alpine rider, but he has a totally different stance then me.  I stand 21 inches wide he is like 17 -18 I guess? did not change (should have sorry Chris).  He rode it and you can see his first run for yourself no lessons were needed, and he is a regular footer same as me, goofy footers are also welcome.  (it is a snowboard for any doubters) such as at Nationals they all protested me lol.  Whatever but wow.  They said ski are faster than snowboards (Not true) snowboard's plane quicker and that is a simple fact proven long ago by team I road for 10 years "+M" Mark Fausett, Jay C Jay Anderson and Mike Jacoby pretty good team not to mention Tara Eberheart. How you get up to speed is by plaining.  Just think about being stepped on by a high heel shoe, ouch verses a pair of Van's sneakers big difference which shoe would plain quicker and slide down the hill of ice and snow. lol. Skis have a top speed record of 156 and a snowboard is 126 something like that, it is the body position nothing more.  (wax)

Anyway, back on track here watch Chris Trap try ONESKI Snowboard for the first time. I also had three people at USASA Nationals try the ONESKI and I followed them down no one needed lessons, and no one fell. They all got asked by me, "so what do you think"?  I expected this this is awesome or wow or something, but they all said same thing (lol) no joke "well it's a snowboard".  So obviously they went into the test by thinking it was not. I don't blame anyone for that thinking process, it looks crazy but rides great. And yes, they were all scared including me on that first run. There is a video of my first run as well I used ski pole, sorry but that is also how I learned to snowboard way back in the day, from a ski racer.

It will scare anyone but trust me one run is all it takes you will be unscared after that. No worries.

I placed there on purpose and even moved closer by 1 centimeter on purpose this year, to place the weight of the rider closer to the location of the skier's foot which the ski was designed for.  A strong 250 lbs. skier and I do mean strong stands right where my mounts are.  Also look at the thickness of a ski and how it transfers down to tip and tail (*the Key) and you will better understand my location.  If you look at snowboards, they are designed for feet far apart that is why they place out in front and also how would Allflex place them anywhere else anyway.  His design makes him have to do that, and he locks in center.  He just has a better design plate than anyone else in snowboarding period. because it really comes down to stiffness in the end and his is the best (in my opinion) the stronger the plate the better.  We place a ton of G forces in there and it is mostly torsional. So that is what we need to focus on.  I focused 100% on stiffness just look at my material MAGNESIUM 2 times stronger than aluminum 2 x lighter and 2 x more money as aluminum 6061. It is very good plate you will see at Montucky.

I have been making plates much longer than anyone in the snowboarding industry trust me on that.  But I see your point from a snowboards point of view makes sense.  It is however a ski, so I did this way for the weight to ski transfer and if you notice on the bottom picture right under foot area, I place what is called a POWER BLOCK transfers the riders power straight to edges directly under foot, DREAMY not in front of foot, that is what you need.  I will say this also, no better hold on ice than this setup without a doubt, I am an east coaster that is always my goal.  Power transfer and hold on ice you will have no issues. It is year one for sale so improvements will always come, I did test for three years that is also rare as hell. Normally people do it for money, so they do not have patients. I did this to get better riders and more riders. Not to mention bring the ski industry into the mix so you all get more sponsors and bigger events.  In the end you will all appreciate what it is I have done. For now, I see myself as an intruder and I get it but please be patient.  I have slept 3 hours last night and 3 hours the night before and I will not proofread this sorry.

Actually, just looking at the mechanism images you've posted here and available on the OneSki website, I suspect most people here who have ridden a sliding axle isolation plate on an alpine snowboard will know pretty much what it feels like. And that's quite a few of us.

The fundamental flaw in your design is the very short effective interaxle distance. Your axles are effectively between the bindings. On other plate designs that has given riders the feeling of being on a diving board!
Fin's Bomber Boiler Plate axles were able to be outside the binding centres by some way.
The current snowboard racer's plate of choice, AllFlex, has the sliding hinges at the ends of their plate well over 70cm apart.

I'd also recommend you attend the Montucky Clear Cut. There are many riders on this Forum, who are far better riders than I am, who will be there and be able to really give your concept a proper test and comparison with modern construction alpine snowboards, with and without isolation plates.

I need a reason to travel, I could do that let me know the details. People do need to try ONESKI to understand it.  Not possible to explain the feel, thank you for your invitation, I will contact you by email?

According to oneski.com, currently there is only a 20cm wide plate, which can accommodate skis with up to 120mm nose width.  So forget about Kessler skis for now, lol.

The ONESKI derby system which mounts directly to skis can be mounted on any ski and it is a better for serious riders. Your Fisher RC4 will be great and put to good use.  What you look for is the sidecut on the skis.

I will make the version for skiers to go ski and then go snowboard within 5 minutes soon.  It is very simple to do I just made the race stuff first then; I will go backwards to powder and free riding versions like NASCAR right? Do the high tech first then tame it all down.

You will like the RC4 side cut for the SL is 12 meter side cut.... perfect ripper, fast as hell you will feel it don't try to lay it over like eurocarving or whatever, I now call it loop turns same thing, just ride it tall and stay in control you will want to race all of a sudden.

@Mike Kildevaeld thanks for the updates. Does the OneSki have an Allflex-style suspension mechanism? Seems like it would be a natural fit.

    I am considering it.

I did test a few last year, then I dropped it. Seems like skis are doing a nice job with controlling that STUFF inside the skis.  So I will avoid it for now, skis just keep on getting better, so I kind of doubt it.  I tested arms on the end like my Kildy flex back in the day but really no difference, if anything might have been worse off.

    Tough question to answer sorry.

If I squint really hard, I can envision a day when someone melds the two independent skis into a single ski, a "board" if you will, that can be used in much the same way. The current technological hurdles are too high to overcome now, but in the future, that day will come.

I can picture a day when a motorcycle has one shock if I squint really hard.... but the hurdles are too great. It is funny for sure. If you can't see it, it is probably not for you.

If you have a single board, I would love to try one.  We can meet up and trade for a day.  (But it was funny for sure).

I have been noticing snowboarders really hate it and skiers really love it and I am fine with that... I also recall a day when skiers hated us snowboarders because we started a single board and invaded their space but eventually, we all got along, I thought.  I was a ski racer long before a snowboard racer and I joined snowboarding with a smile bigger than my head, I raced two weeks later and was sponsored after the race by a company called Flite...  Snowboarding is easy as hell to learn if you're a ski racer one run and you already are doing it. Just keep the ski pole for a while and you're ripping in no time.

Now look at skiers they never came over, they just started their own half pipe, and boarder cross.,  Have you seen a WC ski race lately in Europe?  LOL bigger than NFL

I just want to open some eyes and trust me their eyes are wide open (skiers). If they try it, we have another alpine snowboarder or just a regular snowboarder.... Recall when all the talk was snowboarding will be bigger than skiing, lol look around.   But again, it was a good joke, I mean it I did laugh.

Did Sherm Poppens patent finally run out?

    original snurfer.jpg

This patent did run out I can tell.... But notice he stands like a mono ski ever been called that when doing your alpine riding?  I have, it is pretty funny stuff.  I do have a patent coming soon and I have applied for PCT which than soon we have to choose the countries to be protect it in. (All Ski Countries Obviously).

ONESKI patent is a "Method" Patent it is different and much more difficult to get.

description of Method Patent COPY PASTE.

A business method patent is a type of utility patent that protects a process rather than a physical object. It has proved especially useful ...

In other words, I patented the process of converting skis to a snowboard, that is it.

The above photo shows a pair of skis converted to a pair of skis. Ha Ha in a sense but certainly not standing sideways like a snowboarder.  Look up rules in FIS for snowboarders' equipment they do not mention how many tips, tails or anything else they definitely use to.

I got protested back in 1998 two months prior to Olympics, wow nightmare. I did overcome this protest with Olympic committee after countless videos and explaining. My board at the time was an Alpine board cut in middle to about 5 inches from tip. So, I just went back to a normal alpine board with a plate, it was not worth risking if I had lost protest and stayed on that board, I would have been screwed. So I switched boards to cover ass. I did win the protest which actually sucked, because I rode a board I did not want to for a month and then got injured one month prior to Olympics with a double sprained left ankle and could not ride at all, so now I had to ride the last board I had ridden which was a regular snowboard it was a rough month wondering if I could even snowboard again after winning the last world cup prior to Olympics..  Anyway wow still bothers me lol.

Okay I am back... The rule back then was one tip no mention of tails because of split tails.  Today no mention of tips, why no idea. They just say stand sideways and your feet cannot overlap so toes cannot overlap heals. Pretty basic rules much better.

Anyway, I know you were just kidding but wanted to clear up some stuff anyway. I feel better.

@mike kildevaeldIf you are serious about trying to convert alpine boarders then you will need to create videos showing better carving performance before I personally would even begin to entertain the idea of a OneSki. And no allowance made made for your age, I'm 64 and can make my Coiler Contra 2023 alpine board carve better than you show in the linked OneSki video above.

Alan Mckenzie you sound like a really good snowboarder.  If you thought that my carving was bad you should see me ride a Coiler Contra 2023.  I have never said I was a good carver I can't wait to have videos of people as good as you riding it, I will certainly post it on my website. Please if you try my plate send me a video of it, maybe we sponsor you and you could represent New Zealand.

  18. I just wanted to update the Jerry of the day photo Trappy sent this to me while I was at USASA Nationals cracked me up not sure how it ended up but this is funny Dad more like grand pa to those youngsters.

Powder set up below also. This was my day at the shop recently figuring out a good powder set up either soft or hard boots will work. Just found these skis, they are powder and carving race style skis look into them perfect setup lots of sidecut and wide.  Obviously need to picture a plate here.

  19. Hello everyone!

It is currently being made as we speak should be completed by November 2023 for sale the price is in a range of $1000 to $1500 not sure at this time.

I have tried many skis I do have a favorite for sure.  You can follow skiing and see what skis do well, it is pretty easy many to choose from all of them good.

Here is a link to a short video.  I do not have any other videos at this time.  But for those wondering about POWDER wow is this the best thing I have ever ridden in powder, and I mean this.  I did not think this would be the case, so prior to USASA nationals I had to try in case Colorado had powder I had 10 inches fall at Waterville Vally and I could not believe it.  Trust me I hate powder because of what I ride on my whole life this board has two sidewalls connected with a plate it does not sink when sideways in a turn it is incredible it will be the high light of the board no question and I love racing still trust me.  My first T-Shirt ever was for Ride Snowboards it said "POWDER SUCKS" that was easy.

I will make a 22 cm wide so powder skis and soft boots work, coming next, but alpine boots work great on powder skis not a problem. I will upload some pics of this set up being played with in my head, oops how to upload photo from phone ????  Okay here is link to short ALPINE video I want to remind all I am 57 years old so please....  ONESKI - How to turn your skis into the best carving Snowboards. - YouTube

I will do my best to respond to questions.  And yes the lift lines are crazy conversations.  I ride Waterville Valley most I have a seasons pass and I have the Epic pass so I will travel going to the Killington Womens SKI WC around Thanksgiving if anyone wants to see it live.  Someone asked about the ability to slide yes it has two separate slide points the magnesium plate itself slide and so does the mounting plates that attach to the ski.  Also, it has the ability to have asymmetrical slide which is unreal made me cry lol when testing. (no joke)

New website soon.  The slides are red on top you can see in photo and the bottom plates you can choose where to lock and where to slide current photo shows a regular foot setup but just switch stuff around and it is goofy it might seem tricky at first, but it is really easy.
