Thank you, Aracan. I looked again at Youtube and found this.
My concern was the removal of the top bolt head from the plastic. But this video confirmed that a BF screwdriver and some pressure was the correct approach. -
I just received the UPZ RCR-box set for my RC12 boots. I looked in all the usual places but cannot find any installation instructions. I might be crazy but I thought I had found them online before. Does anyone know where they might be before I reach out to UPZ directly?
Gracias.

Riding on a chair with 1 other rider:
- "What is that you are riding?"- "It is an alpine snowboard."
- "Cool. Do you ride a snowboard too?"
- "Yes. I'm riding one right now."

I've been using Ride Tridents for years. Probably a 8 on the stiffness scale. I recently switched to K2 Thraxis for something stiffer. It is still too early to see if the stiffness endures, but I'm digging them so far.

I have a weekday pass this season so I can avoid the crowds, so some early weekday turns sound great. I'll also be there for the USASA races on Feb 5-6.
Glad to see they are almost 100% open. Tuesday was easily one of the best powder days I have ever had. Consistent waist deep turns all morning!
Cool. I'm planning to be up there on Tuesday morning for about an hour. PM me if you're able to make it up.

Softboot carver and soon-to-be hardbooter in Flagstaff Anyone get a pass for the 20/21 season? I'll be up there on some weekday mornings for an hour or so.
Hiya, I'm up at the Bowl just about every weekend (while the kids race train) and sometimes during the week for some pre-work turns. Let's try to connect. I'm getting really tired of laps down Ridge, so hopefully the snow this week allows them to open more terrain.

I'll be at Taos 3/20-23 for the kids' ski races. If you're around for some turns, let me know. I'll be hanging near #8 and #2 on Sat/Sun, but will be freeriding on Friday where conditions dictate.

Is this still for sale?

Have you checked the events on Canada Snowboard or USASA?

I'm interested to hear ideas about how to improve my technique. Here's a video from today on hard snow where I often feel I'm sliding the turns.

I'm using a 100mm brass brush pre-wax. After scraping I use a 300mm nylon brush for a couple of passes, then the same with a 300mm horsehair brush. I usually finish with a few passes with a horsehair hand brush or cork for a nice polish.

I've been happy with my Ride Tridents. I'll get a new pair this season and retire my current pair to the friend bin. They have about 120 days on them (2 seasons) and are just starting to compress. I like that they are stiff and warm. The triple BOA is nice if you like to have the calf/ankle tight and the foot less so.

I was considering signing up for the races schedule for early February 2020. I've never been to Hunter Mountain, but after reading some of the comments in past threads, it seems to be filled with tour buses of weekend warrior jean skiers with bota bags of Fireball (ok, I might have embellished a bit there). Would it be a mistake to join these races? Or will the impact of these factors be minimal as I will be focused on inspection and race runs?
