  1. Anyone speak German? I would be interested to know what was being said about the factory - were they making Palmer and Kessler skis?

Buy a good sandwich ski and have a look for a good plate system like hangl ( http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/4015/20100105a00askibindunge.jpg ) or circle/loipfuehrer ( http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/8346/kompletteplatteinclbind.jpg ). Both can you find sometimes on ebay for less money.

    edit:

    kessler/palmer ski made in austria:

    design: kessler

    ski:head factory

  3. Anyone care to guess what the SCR is on this board? ... (see video)

    <object height="385" width="640"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4ezPYQPU0o&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="385" width="425"></object>

    sometimes 15m, sometimes 8m and sometimes 10m

    minimum three differnet skwals (lacrois183, lacroix1650, thias180 or 173)

    all three cheap foam skwals.....

  4. the bomber skwal should fit on the 183 (11,5cm vs 11,7 cm)

    In my opinion:

Your too heavy for this board and the board is too old.

I have the same weight now and i´m using the mpride 183.

A few years ago (at this time i was lighter) i also have a thias 183 and broke it (no wonder, its a cheap foam construction)

When you want to have fun on an skwal go for

    - a völkl monocarver, cheapest way

    - mr183 (not testet yet, should be similar to the mprdie 183, but its cheaper)

    - or the mpride 183 (most expensive way)

the mr183 and the mpride 183 look at the specs very similar and and when you check the width you can see from which board they are copied (thias 183)
