  1. OldVolvos, are you associated with CODA boards? Was it you who. Made that awesome swallowtail Skwal?

OldVolvos is an awesome guy who has been a great supporter of CODA Boards!

I made a couple of those skwal boards (the Edge) in response to a buddy of mine who sells Malibu Ski boats at Paradise Watersports in So Cal. He wouldn't snowboard or try one of our monoboards, but he said he would be all over something that was like waterskiing. So... I made a couple and we loved them. Have made several more for other customers and I have to tell you, it is alot like slalom waterskiing, even down to having weak and strong side turns :biggthump

  2. I am afraid that I have had something come up with one of my other jobs on Friday and family stuff on Saturday.

I am going to try for Mammoth or June on Sunday.

Mammoth reporting 8 ft of fresh with another 2-4 ft starting today and not stopping till Sunday. Those who can make it to June, have fun swimming

With all this snow, Mammoth will be open for carving through July 5th again I bet, so perhaps we can do another SNES later in the season...

  3. Hey guys!

I am planning on being there on Saturday and maybe Mammoth on Friday.

I will bring a few toys for you all try :biggthump

In fact I will probably build a new V0 and V0x-l with our decambered nose and elliptical sidecut. Those both will be for sale for a special SNES price at the end of the day Saturday.

I will also bring the older V0 and V0x-l that you have seen before. They will also be for sale for a special SNES price at the end of the day Saturday.

I will of course have my carving monoboards and the new Edge skwall board. And Aaron, I will bring my prototype carving skis too :o

See you guys in two weeks.

    -Chad

  4. -ahem-

Coda (He's still making boards, right?)

Yes we are still making boards and trying new shapes/technologies and new toys all the time.

In fact, we just sent a board made for SES to Fin for demo and then raffle.

I come down to Big Bear from time to time to ride and up to mammoth all the time. We will be at June in March with demos as well.

  5. I just got back from Mammoth a few days ago and while the new pow is great, I am looking forward to riding with some hardbooters :o

I will have a couple of CODA boards with me if any of you would like to play on them, but the only new things will be some carve specific skis and the new CODA Edge.

See you guys in the parking lot early.

  6. no worries Ace. Each CODA board is handcrafted and while they may have the feel of a one-off homemade board, the reviews indicate they ride well. I love them of course and the only way to get what I want is to make them myself. As I said, no worries. If you change your mind and want an EDGE, or another shape with your own unique graphic, I would love to put one together for a dedicated skwal rider.

I have TD3's... they should be able to work with bomber cant/lift plate, correct? Monodude has told me that he prefers the Catek's because the aren't so stiff...

  7. How about an all mountain softboot custom/metal for me? 200lb rider. Wanted to try a sideways last season but the 58 seems small and the 66 is bigger than I like.

send me an email and lets build a board for you!

As for the Yama Pokie Stylie snowboards... that was the Lish era and I have heard that there were a lot of them breaking

  8. Chad, when did this work of art come about? sidewinder_straight.jpg

Need a punkass kid to make sure it goes fast in snowboard mode? :eplus2:

That is a traditional monoski with about a 19cm SCR... It is softer than the Sidecarves and Monoboards that CODA usually makes to accomodate the tail swishing monoski crowd :p

I am still not sold on de-cambering but I am going to be prototyping it first thing next season.

As soon as it is ready to go, we will set you up with a work of art that you can rip:biggthump

  9. I hope it was a couple of good days riding for you guys. I already had a weekend planned in Mammoth and I have to tell you that the conditions for mid April are really exceptional.

There is so much snow that Mammoth will be open till 4th of July! Now that would be a cool end of the season get together :)
