  1. Unfortunately, I will be relocating to Central America permanently, and I have to cut my quiver down significantly for the move, so sadly, this must go; if I honestly thought I would have more opportunities to ride this, I would definitely keep it :( This is a like new Winterstick Swallowtail snowboard, in length 183. It was ridden just once in deep powder in Utah, which was an epic experience. It rides literally like a quick turning knife through butter...a surfboard feel on snow, that rides much shorter than its actual length.

If you look on the Winterstick website, this retails for $1200; the one I'm selling is a much better colorway in my opinion (black with detailing of the wood grain core, versus the blue one they are currently selling), so get it now for a much better price!!!

From Winterstick: "This is the board that has defined Winterstick from the beginning (serving up rocker since 1972). It features the traditional long and wide rockered nose, camber between the bindings and the iconic long swallowtail. Put these three aspects of this board together and you get a board that rides like a Cadillac when you lean forward and turns like a Porsche when you engage the swallow. Don't be intimidated, this board rides much shorter than it is due to the sidecut stopping at maximum width of the nose."

Shipping in the continental US is a flat rate of $60; elsewhere on the planet and I would need your exact address for an accurate quote. I take PayPal ONLY, which protects you and me as buyer and seller. However, if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, then you are more than welcome to check out the board in person, and pick it up on the spot, for a cash payment.  If race boards are more your speed, I am also selling a Sims Burner Split Tail Race Board in size 188 cm (also in mint/like new condition for $500 + $50 shipping in the continental US). Please don't hesitate to contact me for questions at awesome_auctions@live.com.  Thanks for your time.  ED

  2. Reluctantly, I am selling some boards I no longer need (and have barely used due to the crappy Tahoe winters over the last few years): Sims Burner 188, Sims Burner 197, both of them split tails.  I've ridden them no more than 3 times a piece, so their condition is EXCELLENT.  Seriously, if it weren't for the binding marks, you would probably think they were new.  I've been going a bit shorter and much narrower in my riding, so I don't want these to gather dust in my closet.  Anyway, drop me a line, if you're interested, and ready to make a FAIR offer.  (916) 616-4472

  3. 2013 - 2014 sale!!!

    1) Sims Burner 197 - ridden maybe 2-3 times? Super mellow for a long race board, and really easy to lay down. It looks new, other than the light binding marks. This is great for wide open groomers. There are plenty of places you can ride this in Tahoe, but I stick to my shorter, quicker race boards now because of all of the trail traffic This was more of a collector's item for me, too, as they don't make split tail race boards anymore.

    2) Sims Burner 188 - same details as the 197, except shorter.

    3) Burton Supermodel 168 (custom painted red at the factory) - This was my favorite freeride board back when it first came out, because it turned so quickly, and floated perfectly in the pow. I put about 20 days on this, and it was my board of choice for a pow day, or just a day in softboots. I have since gone with longer and stiffer freeride boards because I've put on some weight, but this is still one of my favorites. It has binding marks and surface scratches, but no damage.

Anyway, I will take any REASONABLE offer for any of these; I am not desperate to sell, nor am I in any urgent need for cash. I just don't want to keep these as I don't ride them anymore, and feel like they are going to waste. Shipping would vary, but it would be anywhere from at least $40 - $60, as I would have to purchase or make a strong enough package, which I am not looking forward to, but will gladly do if the price is right. Of course, if you live somewhere in the Bay Area or Sacramento, we can always make plans to meet somewhere. Please hit me up if you are interested, and don't hesitate to ask questions. Thanks, and have a great season, where ever you may be in the world.

  4. The last buyer flaked, so I am re-posting. These work perfectly, and have been sitting in my closet (forgotten) for a few years. They're in great shape, as they have probably seen less than 3 or 4 days on snow. These are the "rat trap" type, and not the Physics type, which required those stupid toe hooks; you can use these with any standard hardboot, including many models of ski boots, as long as they have a compatible toe ledge. Why drill a hole in your boots to make them Intec-compatible, when you can just use any standard ski or snowboard hardboot and step in to these bindings?

I was planning to use them this season, but I blew my right knee out earlier this summer, and I could use some extra cash right now. I'm only asking for $130 plus shipping (should be around $10 in the continental US), or if you live in the Sacramento area, you are more than welcome to pick them up. I do have a set of 4 x 4 or 3D disks for them, so you will get one set, but not both. Take a look at the pic, and let me know if you have any questions. I accept PayPal only, for offers which have to be shipped, and cash only, for local pick-up. These are also available on e-Bay as item # 111000111489, if you would rather bid on them.

Have a great riding season tearing up those groomers :)

  5. Are there any carvers out there looking for a season's pass to Sierra At Tahoe? They have some really EXCELLENT carving runs on the West Bowl, which is why I am there every season...except for this one I bought an unlimited season's pass from them last April with the Fast Pass option for the fast lift lines, but unfortunately over the summer, I tore my ACL :( I recently had surgery, but Sierra won't give me a refund. Instead, they are willing make an exception with their policy by allowing me to use it next year, or transfer it to someone else this year.

It cost me $350, and Sierra is selling theirs for just under $500, so you would be getting a much better deal if you buy it from me. If you're interested, just pay me and we can call Sierra together to give them your new contact info for the transfer of the pass. The pass is even valid at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows from Opening Day to December 21, 2012 and from April 15, 2013 to Closing Day. PayPal is even an option, as I've listed the pass on fleaBay, as well (type in item # 110985774302 in the search field). Check out my feedback and you'll know I'm legit :) If there's anyone interested, or you know of someone who is, please respond and I will e-mail you my contact phone.

I am also selling a handful of carving boards in EXCELLENT condition, but I will post those later. Thanks for your time.

  6. The bottom line is that:

    1) I'm the one that didn't get responses from you,

    2) you never gave me a phone # or any kind of contact info other than an e-mail address I had to go to Bomber for (liar),

    3) you never responded to an option of sending me a money order (maybe you don't read your own e-mails? Or maybe you just don't read, period).

    4) you had ample time to respond to me AND the fleabay warnings, so shame on you for not giving a sh*t.

    5) and don't forget that YOU are the one who initiated this on Bomber, not me. You are truly delusional...I just re-posted the thread for a sale and you attacked me on this site, so look in the mirror, douchebag. I guess calling me a "pussy" doesn't qualify as namecalling...it must be great to live in your world. I hope stupidity and hypocrisy aren't too painful.

First off, it's not for you to dictate how I get paid PERIOD. Don't assume anything, don't hope for anything...if you can't follow rules, you shouldn't be playing. God forbid you contact me on fleabay...I told you I am not on Bomber often, or check my other e-mail addy often. Wouldn't it be common sense that if I post on e-Bay, that you could possibly contact me there, as well, if you weren't getting the responses from the other e-mails? I know now that is too much to expect from someone of your caliber.

The Paypal requirement was in writing and in the listing, and like an idiot, you chose to disregard it; consequently, you cost me the bids of legitimate buyers who were willing to pay per the agreement, and you cost me all the initial fees for the listing. Let's not even mention the time the helmet had to be off the market since I had to waste time waiting on you and fleabay to try to get payment from you. The season is almost over now, so there's more of a loss. Yeah, yeah, I know this doesn't mean squat to you, but why should it? You are irresponsible, don't have any integrity, and you can't take responses to your slanderous behaviour to begin with (remember that you brought this to bomber, you douche), so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

You need to grow a pair, shut the fu*k up, admit you f'd up and got bitten in the ass for it, and just move on. And yeah, I'll apologize...I am sorry that you are an irresponsible moron who doesn't know how to conduct business on-line. I'm sorry you can't read or appreciate the fact that your on-line actions have consequences on others you don't give a sh*t about. I'm sorry that all of this had to be brought to the forum on Bomber, wasting everyone's time to defend myself because of the slander YOU initiated. I'm sorry that you will probably not comprehend or appreciate anything I'm saying because you are apparently the true man here. For these I am truly sorry.

  7. So you have the balls to comment on someone who sells on fleabay with 100% positive feedback (almost 700 comments), when you have 3, and that's only because fleabay killed your previous accounts for negative feedback, and non-paying bidder strikes? Interesting...

So let's be honest about what happened...here are the facts:

    1) you bid on an item, knowing what the requirements for payment were, yet you had the audacity to bid the highest, and then try to reach me about an "alternate" method of payment. This doesn't just make you a prick, it also makes you flat out stupid. If you can't read or follow instructions, you should not be on the internet, let alone any type of communication medium.

    2) you make up some BS excuse about not wanting fleabay or Paypal to mess up your account, and I am waiting 3 weeks for ANY type of response. I even offered to take a money order, and guess what, still no response. And fleabay even sends out warnings to you about not paying, and it doesn't take a genius to guess that you didn't respond to that either.

Yet here you are on Bomber, trying to mess up my credibility. YOU ARE AN EVEN BIGGER PRICK than I previously thought. Get a life and some sense of responsibility, you selfish prick and coward.

For anyone bothering to read this, Mike is really the one you need to be weary of when dealing with money or any kind of transaction. He'll bid on stuff and express interest, he'll cost you money in fleabay fees, and not bother to communicate in any sort of timely manner.

  8. just posted on fleabay...check out these item numbers for the details:

    110355393134 (metallic orange/silver)

    110355394278 (metallic blue/silver)

    110355396408 (bright yellow)

    110355397749 (matte orange)

Plenty of time left in the season. They all work with helmets but the first two in particular...

  9. Need some buckets for your noggin? Check out these helmets for sale on the auction site we all love to hate (fleabay):

    1) New Vigor race helmet in metallic blue with jawguard, size large

    Item number: 110352316152

    2) New Vigor race helmet in neon yellow with jawguard, size large

    Item number: 110352317060

    3) Used/demo Burton/Red MT-1 race helmet in metallic beige, chrome, and orange with jawguard, size large (a classic)

    Item number: 110352318844

    Use your head out there...

  10. Knee pain, knee pain, knee pain...from years of weightlifting, sports, and riding.

So does anyone have any info relating stance angle to knee damage OR wear and tear? I typically ride high angles (anywhere from mid 60s to 90/90 for my skwals). Has there been any discussion regarding the different areas of the knee impacted by specific angles? With my skwals, I've developed a pain on the inside of my knee on the front leg. I don't think about it too much while riding, but at the end of the day, and the day after, it can be debilitating.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

  11. ...yes, that's what I am talking about. When I stop, my back foot starts swinging around. But the big mystery is that it depends on the board. On my regular race boards, I stop fine, applying pressure equally on both feet. However, with my narrow boards (I have boards with a 10.5 cm, 13 cm, and 16 cm waist), I observe this spin-out phenomenon. I am think that my high stance angles (90/90 on my 10.5 cm) may be causing me to pressure my back foot more? I was hoping that moving my stance closer to the tail would take care of this...

  12. No one seems to have half sizing for the Head boots I want, just full sizes. I wear a 26.5, and on-line retailers only have 26 and 27 available. Can someone recommend a size for me, since I can't try these on? Can I go with a 26 and just hope for sufficient packout? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
