  2. Hi, parting way with a prized possession :(. I'm living the surfing life :1luvu: so I'm not in need of this beauty. It's a 181 Classic not a New School design. 18.5 waist, 13.2 SR. Base and edges are perfect, just need to scrape and go. The top sheet is near immaculate. Last day it was used by a guy who tried it at SES and when he got on the lift a knuckle dragger scratched his board against my top sheet so there is a small area that has a scratch. It's not highly noticeable until you put it in your hands. I would say I have about 15 days on it since I had a lot fo boards i was switching thru at the time. Board comes with a BOL bag too. email me for more detailed pics. $399 + $25 for shipping it since I live near the edge of the world now.

    oops, forgot, 6.5 flex

    thanks, Joel

  3. "Gal look no bindings" that's Cynthia. She's riding her skimboard. Her and her boyfriend got me into skimboarding with a kite a year ago and now I spend more than 1/2 my time doing that. I was trying to come up for the Industry show mid Sept. The owners of the shop where I am working want me to go. but one of the owners lives there so I didn't see a need to send me all the way from Texas for just 2 days. If I show up and there is no wind it could be a waisted trip. Instead I'm having them send me a lot of gear to test down here. But if anything changes I'll contact you.

thanks for the pics...all good ones.

  4. He has been windsurfing and learning to kitesurf in Cabo with a friend of mine. Don't be to surprised to find him on a carving board sometime soon in Aspen too. The same guy has been trying to get him out on Buttermilk.

  6. I guess it comes down to personal style but here's what I've experienced. Bruce built me a test Schtubby, it's got progressive SCR from 13 to 16. I ride long boards fast but wanted to try out the Schtubby and I didn't want a board to be to turny. Bruce got a brain fart idea and send me this board to try. For me it's awesome. I also had a straight 13 SCR Schtubby at SES to compare to and I have a 181 with a 13.2 SCR. Each board could turn long turns or tight turns pending your mood and the Schtubby was easy to manuever in traffic or tight spots, it's super comfortable. I couldn't see myself dropping down to a 12 SCR, I think it would be to tight and turny at speed.

The difference between the straight 13 SCR and my progressive SCR was I found the progressive SCR still ran as fast, stable and comfortable at speed as my old 186. It was just a little difference between the 2 boards but definetly you could feel it. It also likes to start turning at a bit higher speed than the straight 13 SCR. For me it was a perfect blend of high speed, long or tight turns (at speed) and manuverability in traffic or cat walks. I ride Aspen fairly exclusively and it's perfect but if I rode in a more traffic type place like Beaver Creek then I would choose the straight 13 SCR. I dont' think I would pick the 12 since the 13 turns as tight as you could want.

    You'll not be disapointed, Joel

  7. here's the problem with the BUp, I love going there if the music is loud and danceable but if there is any acoustic type I stay away. The Belly Up is such a social scene everyone just talks during the shows and socialize. Very Very hard to hear anything unless it's very loud. It's kind of obnoxious to spend money to go listen to a very talented musician and NOT hear them....I've been very frustrated there many times. To bad because it's a great venue and I've seen some awesome shows there...but they better be jamming...
