  1. anxiously waiting a rub in

hehe i think alot of us are a bit tuckered out :)

yesterday it snowed all day on the mountain with steady 20mph winds, vis was between "i can somewhat see" to white out "point and pray" moments :freak3:

Despite the conditions the snow was great and if you stayed in the trees the vis was better. AM type boards were pretty much the choice of the day for many.

today its looking better and most reports are saying about 10inches of new snow...should be a good tree and pow-day!

  2. How are we all going to find each other to buy and sell all this cool stuff? Parking Lot Flea Sale? Mike's Garage Sale?

You can try to hook up with the sellers in the Sunrise parking lot in the morning AMs...or email them here to try to find them during the day. Or just ask around till you find the guy selling whatever board/binding/etc... you want to try out :)

otherwise most of the people will be bringing the gear to Mike's house...his garage actually :) during the pizza party on Saturday night.

  3. We had a really great Day 0!!! Was very nice to connect up with some old friends and crank out some turns.

Conditions were...well they just were :p Byran's description pretty much sums it up.

Snow in the morning was great though, and the runs on Mount Bachelor never disappoint! Great way to start off OES 2009!

Alot of folks are still rolling in from the road and should be a great turn-out tomorrow to officially kick OES off!

We're ready for the snow and the pow! Bring it on! Our favorite friend rolled up with a truck full of Tankers that are just waiting for a chance at those freshies! :eplus2:

  4. Chan's was wonderful and the food was as great as we remembered from last year! It was great to see old friends again and meet some new ones!

enjoying some Mirror Pond Ale and can't wait till tomorrow!

My friends at Lake Tahoe reported 40+ inches of snow since Tues    so it looks like this storm is dumping some freshies everywhere!

see you guys tomorrow AM! we'll be rolling in on the easy plan for Day 0... ;) gotta let the Mirror Pond do its work after that long drive heh

  5. Hi y'all,

Due to some good fortune/karma/angels/whatever, I'm going to be hitting up OES again this year.

I'm bringing everything and the kitchen sink that I can fit in the SUV. If you want a list now shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you an excel spreadsheet with most of the stuff and bro deal pricing. I'm going to play car salesman, this stuff has got to go.

    Cheers, RJ

glad to hear you are coming RJ!!! Can't wait to hang with you again and hopefully we'll keep the pitchers of beer to a minimal so you can do your salesman gig :) ....ugh my bank account is already screaming in mercy....why must tankers tempt so?

  6. I bought this board last year and rode it a handful of times before getting a my own Coiler built :1luvu: I've found that I prefer wider boards so going to have to let this board go to somebody that will actually ride it.

asking $325 shipped to lower 48.

    Coiler PR 173

    18cm waist

    13M sidecut

5.8 stiffness on Bruce PR scale

Has just about every goodie upgrade you can get on a Bruce board:

    http://www.coiler.com/tech.htm

    SB - Super Board construction

WCC - World Cup Customer construction (included with SB)

    T+L - Torsion plus Lamination

The board would be best for someone around 150LB to 170LB ish. I've varied between 160 to 170ish (depending on gear and amount of pitchers consumed during lunch) and the board has always had a good flex for me.

Topsheet is in good condition, few lift line nicks but nothing serious.

Edges are fine and sharp, with a few surface rust spots from storage that needs a few passes with a gummy stone.

Base is good, no core shots or deep scratches. There is one 1-2inch scratch near the tail. Its not deep enough to merit PTEX work but it is a scratch and I've included pics below.

  7. <snip> I am currently talking to the director of hospitality for Riverhouse and they are a top contender. Some hotels are more desperate than others. If we decide on them I will make sure you get the OES discounted rate. I just need to work out the logistics. I should know more tomorrow.

Quentin, I have 6 days reserved at riverhouse under my name as well....so group rate it up!
