  1. I got these included with my boots but went with TD-1s instead. They have adjustable cant, but no toe/heel lift. I can take better pics of any feature you'd like to see. I've never ridden them (I'm 220-230 and I figured metal made more sense than thermo-plastics), but they seem to be in good shape. Don't know much about them, so anyone with info, I'd be glad to hear it, and include it in the listing. They are very adjustable for size, as they easily took my 30.5 mondo Burtons.

I'd love to get the $50 I spent on them, plus shipping, but I'm open to best offer if anyone wants them.

I've made a few sales here and a few purchases, as well as a few sales on ebay (DRZRM). I've ridden with Willy Whit, Bobdea and Skipuppy a handful of times, and can get a reference on my FC-1 sale (the board with the bindings on it in the photo) to a bomber member.

    Thanks for looking.P1010684_2.jpg

  2. Hey guys,

If you paid attention when I was getting started this season, I picked up a board that is all wrong for me to learn on, its 18 cm waist with my Mondo 30.5 boots, I can hardly stand on this thing in my living room. I picked up a Axxess 183 instead, and would like to see this move on someplace where it will see some use.

I have never ridden it, but the guy I picked it up from used it lightly (he said fewer than 15 days total) and the topsheet, edges, etc. support that. It took a shot to its base (down the right rail, repair is visible on the left side of the photo) which was repaired at a shop up at Stratton Mt. He rode it several days after the repair and had no difficulties. The rail was not damaged. I can email pics as large as you'd like, and if there is a problem down the road (within reason, let's say this season) you can either return the board (shipping is on you) or I'll pick up the cost of repairs to the base.

willywhit took a look at the repair before we went up to Mt Snow a few weeks back and said it looked fine to ride (I am not trying to hold him responsible in any way if there is a problem, I just wanted the buyer to know that a much more experienced rider than me has looked at and OK'ed the repair).

The specs from the Donek page (and the sticker) are

    FC 179 1

    Length 179

    Edge 163

    Sidecut 11.2

    Nose 23.91

    Waist 18

    Tail 23.91

    It was made 10-02

and the stiffness on the website is 8.5, but I'm not sure if that applies to the older boards, it feels like it is right when flexed next to my Donek Axxess.

Anyway, I'm asking $225 plus shipping. I have an old pair of Rossi bindings on it that I'll include for $250.

Let me know if you want to see larger pics and I'll send them right along.

  3. Willy, the Missus comes back to town today, but I may be able to get away for a few hours tomorrow PM. Depends on what we wind up doing for New Years.

thinking today, Sunday, will be a zoo but with the fresh snow coming Monday might be worth heading up.Might go to North Conway for new years.

Bob ? anybuddy gonna be at wachoo ?

Legs feel ready for more :biggthump

  4. Yeah, you may have paid too much for your bindings (I got a great deal on mine here) but I also have a Donek FC 1 that is a good length for me that I jumped on way too quickly, it has a tiny waist that I will probably never be able to ride (I wear a mondo 30.5 boot). Just waiting to take some pics and put it back up for sale. We all make mistakes gearing up, $50 over cost is pretty small in the big picture. Just get out there and ride them.

  5. Hey guys,

I just did a WTB for a now obsolete spring for the TD1s, but I was wondering if others had come up with an alternate fix for the heel bail flop on these bindings. I just want the heel of my rear binding to be more accessable, I have enough difficulty reaching my toe standing on the snow, fiddling with the heel is a serious pain when I come off the lift. I'm riding Burton Furnace boots, so an upgrade to step-ins is not possible without changing boots. I've done a search (TD1 spring) but didn't come up with much.

    Thanks for your help!

PS I had a great first hardboot day at Wachusetts yesterday. Thanks Bob and Tonja and Sean for all your help.

  6. After a great first day on hardboots, I realize that I'd really like to have the spring for the rear bail for my rear TD1 (no wonder everyone like inotek heels). I just need one, since my front boot stays in all day. It's hard to tell on the image at the Bomber store, but it looks like Bomber no longer has the spring, though they do still sell the spring lug that works with it. Anyone have an extra spring laying around? Or both pieces together?

    Thanks,

    Zach

  7. I'll be on a blue Donek Axxess with TD1s and Red Burton boots, my shell is bright Orange (woah, that's going to be hard to miss, I think my helmet is green). But I imagine I'll be pretty shattered after a few hours, and I need to be back in Boston by 7 PM.

outside chance I might be there tomorrow night. If so, I'll be on a Madd 158, in a bright green Jacket...

  8. I'm headed up to Wachusetts tomorrow (Tuesday), I'm just making the transition to hardboots, so I wouldn't want to hold anyone up, but if anyone else was planning to be there on alpine gear, I'd love to follow you down a couple of runs.

Also, is there anyone teaching carving techniques in hardboots at WaWa? I'd love to take a few lessons.

    Thanks

  9. Sorry to be the one to step in the way of your dream... Yeah, the added waist was one of the more attractive things about buying Mort Myberg's custom board. With boots this big, most alpine boards feel almost like a Skwal by the time I take off the overhang. My first mistake in setting up a carving board to was picking up a used Donek FC 1 (very narrow). I think I'll be putting it back up for sale shortly.

    Cheers

Oops, I missed the part about the 22.5cm waist, sorry :(

You know, I've waited for a long time to be a big know-it-all and now this! Drat!
