  1. Looking for something like F2 Carve RS or similar "flexy" bindings in size medium (my boots are MP26, I think). Lately, especially on bigger trips been only taking my powder board and the Cateks are too stiff for riding powder, and also too heavy and big to transport.

    Thanks!

  2. Hey guys, this was my board that I used few times over the last season. I lost quite a bit of weight (down to 130pounds! ) through cycling and now it is too stiff and too long for my puny body, I'd like a flatter profile too.

I really wish Alex would have asked me to put it for sale, or at least help him with listing it, and not just "give me your old board, I'll make you another one".

He showed me his emails and there was definitely confusion on who was/is first. Someone just sent the moneys to him without communicating VERY clearly what's going. There's probably some language issues too. He is a nice guy though, and if you excited enough will take a hit on this board in just the materials, as long as you ride it...

  3. How much do you weigh? They're not terrifically stiff unless you are a very lightweight rider. You can alter the flex with different tongues too, they come with a black (mediu flex) tongue but there are grey (stiff) and white (soft) tongues too. Laterally they are very, very stiff, but fore and aft they are quite supple.

If you have a narrow heel, you will eventually encounter side-to-side slop in the heads, that is what happened to me. I had to perform lots of modifications to the heads to make them flex the way I wanted to, whereas the UPZ were perfect right out of the box. I could never imagine going back to head boots after switching to the UPZ.

130 pounds.. but using softer tongues seems like great idea

  4. Are you talking about your calves or your heels? If you have narrow ankles, I would recommend the UPZ. I have quite narrow ankles but am wide at the toes and the UPZ's work very well for me.

Very similar - like to have some space around toes and narrow ankles. But wouldn't the UPZ be too stiff for me?

  5. Been riding with good ole' Blax Franz for a few years now, liners are falling apart, and yesterday I could not get "clicked" into riding from walking mode for couple hours. So it's time for new ones, me thinks.

Was thinking something like Track 325 would be a good fit for me, 130 pounds, but ride very aggressive. Or Maybe something stiffer like the the Track 700, UPZ or the Head ones? Any suggestions?

this is what I ride mostly: IMGP0732.JPG (and the 172 softer version for East cost so-called snow)

  6. this is a slideshow of how he makes them:http://picasaweb.google.com/Festivenoodle/Press?feat=directlink

(now there's better press and more spec tools)

and local ski shop actually took couple to sale them brick&mortar (in Ohio!):

(the first one is twin tip powder board, similar in shape to Burton Fish)

from our "test" trip to Big Sky:

I will try and get more pictures of the finished product

  7. 2) given the above, it seems unlikely that the guy (or girl?) above would have won the auction at around 50 USD. Possibly yes - but if they submit only low-ball bids, they are asking to be sniped out. Be it by another board-member, or not

    hey a gal can dream

even if I look like Scruffy the janitor on my bday :D
