  1. cheers D.T., I appreciate it. With D1s available so cheap, I wonder if I can justify buying one. Probably not since my tanker rides fine. Oh well.

The D1 will run circles around the Tanker. Quick edge to edge, rock solid on the groom and probably the best Powder board availble currently. Yes that will get reactions but it out rides and out handles Wintersticks and all of the rest of the swallowtails.

  2. yeah. this guy is a psychopath. I wish I had saved the multi page hate filled email I got from him for daring to support the president and the war effort...

You have me mixed up with Dennis. I have never discussed politics with anyone on this board.

that's why we don't discuss politics here :eplus2:

Last I saw he was liquidatin his collection on ebay after his wife died. kind of sad.

Yes it is sad that she died. The world is a far sadder place.

  3. so what can you tell about Pogo Dreadlock symmetrisch?

Is it good for carving? and how does it behave in powder?

can you compare it to Impact BX or Hardcore BX?

    thanks

the board is a fantastic ride. Very quick edge to edge and stable at speed. I prefer a Dupraz in powder but I am an old school rider. The few times I have ridden it in 6" or more of pow it rode well as long as I rode back of center.

  4. Jeff Patterson emailed me more info on the boards. he will sell them one by one as I suggested. As far as I know according to the photos I will post here later for him,

    He has a 83/84 performer

    Experimental Performer

Racing Performer with the grey blue Ptex base

    Several wood Barfoots

    A wood G&S

A early snotech and a few more.

I will try to post the photos later.

    his website is pattersonimages.com/

  5. Hi,

This kid who lives in Whistler has a few boards for sale. This was posted at a snowboard forum and since I know him I thought I would point him in the right direction.

Ok, if anyone might be interested, I have a few boards I may be selling if the price is right.

I hate to do it, but I need $$ to help me get into my first house purchase, so I guess its time to give up the dream, and let em go to a good home.

I have to go look to see all of em, but there are:

    - wood performers

    - old barfoot wood, and some later stuff (twin tips, freestyles, freakstyles)

-older sims.. woods, plus switchblades, halfpipes

    - snurfers

    - funky radical joker

    - old wood g&s x2

    - older nitros

    - old GNU's

    - snowtech

there are lots of em.. so shipping might be high. I will only sell as a package.. email me jeff@pattersonimages.com for more info, and photos.

after that we will talk pricing.

The above is his post. I know how much a house is in the area and this kid has done a good job for the snowboard community with his photos and support. I suspect that he might break up the collection to raise his house money but I don't know.

  6. woah, it is! if i had that board id purposely take it on bumpy terrain just to watch her dance:biggthump now that i think of it, a topsheet like that sounds dangerously distracting.

If that makes you want to take a bumpy ride, I just purchased this one in germany and am awaiting to arrive this month in the container load of boards from Europe. It is a custom airbrushed Fanatic board.

  7. What is the brand of the 3rd board from the left, on your picture?

Is this a female torso that is shown?

    Boris

    In order, left to right.......

    91 virus asym

88 Simmer sytle ( sims rip off)

92 Pogo Impact ( the one you asked about with the female torso)

    92 Wintersurf

    89 Rossi LE surf

    Pogo Hardcore asym

    Pogo Dreadlock

    86 Nidecker

    93 Keisell big foot

  8. DOES ANYBODY know what years SIMS was making the snowboards that had the topsheet look of a HOBIE longboard?...I see them evry once in awhile on ebay but have never been able to score one......I guess they are old School?

  9. I'll be at Whistler from Apr 7th-Apr 12th...any recommendations for boards to bring?

I was thinking of bringing a powder board (if I can find one to buy around here) with my soft boots and probably my donek axis..

    Thoughts?

Stick to a freestyle board right now. typical spring conditions, about 15C or 60 degrees in the village and close to 4C on the mountain.
