willywhit
First Killington. Now this : Bandits raided Bolton Valley Ski Resort of Vermont this past Thursday night, or earlier Friday morning. According to police, the thief or thieves successfully entered the resort and stole large sums of cash and coupons. The bandits also tried to enter the admission building, but fortunately, for the resort, they were unable to get in. As of yet, the police have little to no information on who the perpetrators were. kipstar
So have you heard that drum and bass remix of that track from Pulp Fiction that starts with the 'i love you honeybunny' line and then drops into a big twist style slower DnB track? That is a nice riding track :-)
Hagen
Scooby Snacks by the Fun Lovin' Criminals - great track! Most of their music is pretty good for carving...
kipstar
no, defniitely not the fun loving criminals, it came out like 2 months ago, and has been getting serious club play from the likes of Shy FX etc; I cannot see them playing mainstream pop in their sets.... However, i will check out their version too.... :-)
Hagen
my bad - scooby snacks also doesn't start with I love you honeybunny, but with everybody stay cool... ...and since it's not very fast it's more for the relaxed carving on an empty easy blue slope... willywhit
Kipstar, where can I find that track online mp3 or something ? I'm not really into house music but when there's a clever hook like...FLC sampling Pulp Fiction, I'm diggin' that shizzy. Hagen, good call. You're in Truckee you bastid ? Do you know my cousin Chris Gallagher ? His wife Dora was "Truckee Localz" a hair salon right next to Tahoe Taps. Chris is a nut. btw, I used to date a airline stewardess years ago that was cousins with one of the guys in FLC. Saw them warm up for Perry Farrell's band ( not JAne's) I forget the name but great show in Prov RI at the Strand..years ago.Porno for Pyros, that's it. Dave Navarro too I think. Hagen
I wish I was in Truckee - have not made it up there once this season. ...my second son was born in December, so playing in the snow has to wait a little bit. But I should make it up there in February... I saw FLC at the Fillmor in SF - good show... ...only problem was that the singer tried some standup comedy inbetween songs. Let's just say their music was much better than his jokes... :D
willywhit
Sometimes comedy ain't pretty. Do you ride south lake at all? with Randy Salzman ? remember that guy that used to post alot ? did you get married in Tahoe on the Lake ?
Hagen
Every so often I make it to the south shore - did some usasa races in Sierra last year. Kirkwood is great for day trips... ...but I'm mostly riding north shore (the inlaws have a cabin in Truckee ). And yes, I got married up there - close to Sugarbowl. And yes, I know that guy that used to post a lot here... Hi Randy (in case you are still reading here...). I also try to ride with him when I'm up there - see his back a lot. His style of carving is pretty much streight lining it with some edge changes. :D ...and yes, he usually beats me at the races... :(
willywhit
faster IS as faster does , I guess.I rode Sugarbowl a bunch when I lived out there. The Disneyland of the North Shore.Randy goes to Alpine alot, I gotta get back out there again soon.I've never ridden with Randy but I think our style is similiar, make some turns to slow down.I was in San Mateo for a week in November and meant to get in touch with him.Kipstar, where can I find that track ?
