currently, probably something like:

1. Death in Fire - Amon Amarth

2. Let the Knife Do the Talking - Hypocrisy

3. Bombs Away - Folsom (ok, not on iTunes)

4. Destroy Everything - Hatebreed

... I also like stuff such as Killswitch Engage, The Haunted, and Children of Bodom to ride to.

I'm kind of revising my snowboarding playlist right now. It takes so long to find the perfect songs though... I like songs with a pretty high level of speed and aggression. I would be grateful for suggestions of artists like Folsom and Hatebreed. :)

It's all about the death metal, hardcore, and metalcore. Basically anything that's fast, angry, and heavy...

I don't know how you guys ride listening to tunes. I can't do ANYTHING other than ride when I ride, not even chew gum!!!!

Back when I rode only freestyle, I would be having a bad day, not sticking anything. Then I would realize, Hey! I'm chewing gum, I'd spit it out and all would be right with the world.......

I won't ride UNLESS I'm chewing gum...and cranking tunes...

D-Sub, six posts in this thread and you still haven't contributed.

If you want to stay in the bleachers, blend into the crowd.

If you want to play, get in the game.

hey thanks for the lecture

1)check the date of the post you quoted

2)read further, noting that I said "oops, my bad" a little further down

3)someone resurrected this thread, and I posted one comment then a response.

I also noted that I don't use itunes, so I couldnt post my favorites.

please...its just a stupid music thread...no need to badger me.

Three more from Me!!

#1 Carcass - Hepatic Tissue Fermentation (Delightful track....)

#2 Pantera - Strength beyond Strength

#3 Ministry - Jesus Built My Hotrod... (Great Ageless track... always bumps up the tempo of my riding by 3 notches... And my driving by 4!!!!

I love the older school Death Metal... Cannibal Corpse, Kreator, Slayer

Misfits are good value too.....

I love some newer stuff too... Rammstein really gets me going... something about industrial metal in German... just sounds right!!!

Carcass -- yeah, mike amott went to form up arch enemy after his stint with the carcass. i hope to find some tracks of carcass and check it out.

as for mastodon, i havent' got to check 'em out yet. i did get to check a few of children of bodom. not bad at all.

misfits -- not too bad. i like danzig as well as samhain. for danzig, i mostly liked the thrall live and samhain -- i stumbled upon a bootleg which was really cool -- die for the demon.

Blackbird...if you're into electronic at all ("industrial") maybe you've heard Fear Factory "Remanufactured"?

also...have you heard Mastodon?

Fear factory is good... went to see them when they were in Sydney a few years ago... I haven't heard the remanufactured bit yet.... what's that ??

No I haven't heard of Mastodon... hmmmm where do they hail from?

What sort of sound do they have in regards to other bands??

"Remanufactured" is the album "Demanufactured" (no d?) remixed by a bunch of industrial/electronic producers. Some of the remixes are badass. A lot of them sound like "Hardcore" techno...others are more breakbeat style. I like it a lot

Mastodon is...some grindcore/deathmetal...almost prog...sometimes "stoner"...

have a look!

http://www.mastodonrocks.com/main.html

music is available there.

I dont like the singing sometimes...except dude sounds like Lemmy sometimes!

Uncle Lemmy from Motorhead.... There is a band I've always loved..

I Remember when they played Ace of Spades on the UK show called The Young Ones..... that was brilliant!!

I heard once that Lemmy has to take speed (or a drug along those lines) for the rest of his life from all the substance abuse in the past as his heart would beat too slow.... dunno if that's true...

Thanks for the link... i really like the music when it's remixed into different styles....
