Raisputin
Thought I should pop in some pics of my boards...hope the boards bring fond memories to you as much as they do to me, I will try to get some pics of me actually riding them later :)
1) First alpine board I bought. Can't even recall where I got it or how much I paid for it...I might have traded my Burton AIR for it, but not certain. It has always been good to me. Presenting the venerable Kemper Apex GS 170

2) The second Alpine board that I bought. Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to ride this one due to lack of a compatible binding :( I picked this board up at Play It Again Sports unridden for $50! They had planned on turning it into a bench because nobody rides Alpine board anymore . I had to practically beg them to sell it to me. Presenting the sadly still unridden Hooger Booger Booster 167

And finally, my newest board (and also the one I need cants for) picked up from a buddy of mine, one of the only other hardbooters at my mountain besides myself and one other instructor...The one and only (ok there are probably many more, but this one is mine) Hot Blast 162
Allee
Hey! That Hot Blast looks just like mine! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this as a good board for 6" of fresh :) ... but it rocks on the groomers!
Raisputin
Doesn't seem so good in deep slush either...LOL but yes, fun on groomers
bobdea
get a drill and some T nuts, I am sure someone here can give you exact directions on how to do it
Raisputin
This binding hole pattern before? Rear Hole Pattern:

Front Hole Pattern:

[edit] It seems obvious to me that the rear pattern is two of the front pattern put together overlapping...so I guess I really only need to know if anyone knows what bindings fit the front pattern :)
Jon Dahl
I have the midweek seasons pass at Stevens Pass, and am planning on being up there on this coming Monday. If you are at Mission Ridge, I'd be tempted to make a run over that way on the new year, possibly Monday the 2nd, if conditions turn around. Raisputin
Hey John, Would love to see you up at the Ridge if we get some better snow..Alternately, maybe I can make it over to Stevens some time as well. My email address is greg.evans7@verizon.net if you would like to drop me a line via e-mail. Greg P.S. Just heard Stevens is now closed due to lack of snow, hoping to re-open onMonday :(
Coldrider
The overlapping equilateral triangles make me wonder if it will accomodate a Burton three-hole mount.
NateW
If it isn't Burton-compatible, you could try what I did to a Nitro Diablo with oddball inserts... Cut a piece of 1/2" polyethylene about six inches square and drill it to match both sets of inserts. Put T-nuts under the 4x4 holes, and countersink the other set of holes from the top. Then bolt the plastic to the board, and mount the binding to the top, using the t-nuts. I drilled out the plastic to save weight, cut the corners down, etc. The weight savings was negligible though. Good news: you can mount modern bindings without marring the board, and in my experience it's very reliable. I eventually broke the bindings, and the board, but my adaptor plates never failed. Bad news: you have the added weight of an extra set of extra-long mounting bolts, plus t-nuts, plus the heavy plastic plates. It didn't bother me, but it was definitely there. Your mileage may vary. It took a couple hours to build the adaptors, but they worked well for me. I bought my polyethylene from TAP plastics (http://www.tapplastics.com/) but it's my understanding that plastic kitchen cutting boards are made of the exact same stuff. You can cut it and drill it with regular wood tools. When you drill it, you get confetti instead of sawdust. :-) Ah, memories... I really enjoyed that Diablo. And felt like an idiot when I broke it. wavechaser
Definitely looks like it could be.
Derf
Your best bet, if you want to ride that board, is to make (or have someone make) an adapter plate for it out of 1/4" aluminium.
Derf
Definitely looks like it could be. The shape looks like it could be, but the dimensions don't match if I remember correctly.
bschurman
This binding hole pattern before?Rear Hole Pattern:

Front Hole Pattern:

[edit] It seems obvious to me that the rear pattern is two of the front pattern put together overlapping...so I guess I really only need to know if anyone knows what bindings fit the front pattern :) Looks like my old Wombat plates would fit in there. You can tell if it's a Burton compatiable format by checking if any of the triangles in there are 42mm apart. If they are then you can use a Burton binding on there. ->Ben
D-Sub
it aint burton. theyre too close together. I like Nate's idea of an adapter plate! you could also use something stronger, therefore thinner...like aluminum or something...
