Guest nebuchan
Hiya, Im a complete beginer as alpine snowboarding goes, but have purchased a cheap board off ebay. I am wondering if my old snowblade bindings, which would bolt directly to the board are ok to use, or should i purchase some proper bindings that have rotational adjustment? Thanks! Derf
I am wondering if my old snowblade bindings, which would bolt directly to the board are ok to use, or should i purchase some proper bindings that have rotational adjustment? DON'T! Snowblade bindings are not as solid as the cheapest snowboard bindings because the forces applied on snowblades is not the same as those applied on a snowboard. Snowboard bindings stopped being bolted to the board (like you mentionned) more than 10 years ago (around 12 if I am not mistaken). Get some real snowboard bindings, this way it'll be more solid (and secure) and you will be able to find the stance with wich you are comfortable. ncermak
ditto... you are asking for equipment failure and or injury if you do that. (I also happen to know a place where you can get some great bindings! )
Gleb
I also noticed how similar my snowblade bindings are to my board's. I asked the same question but snowblade bindings didnt seem sturdy enough at all.
