Clip this column and put it on your refrigerator. The deals listed below last the whole season (except, of course, weekends and holiday weeks). The next time you are tempted to complain that skiing and riding are expensive, take this down and compare it to what you'd pay for dinner and a movie.

New Hampshire

Attitash (374-2368; attitash.com) - The Super 7 Midweek Package starts at $89 per person per night and is valid Jan. 1, 2006 through March 16, 2006 except for Feb. 19-24. All three or more night stays will receive a $25 Mobil gas card, and can ski or ride at Attitash, Black Mountain, Bretton Woods, Cranmore, King Pine, Shawnee Peak and Wildcat.

Bretton Woods (278-3333; brettonwoods.com) - Mother's Day Tuesdays: $89 adult lift ticket and all-day kid program. Add women-only group lesson for $10. Two-Fer Wednesdays: $57, non-holiday; two group lessons $30. Senior Thursdays: 65+ $30 lift ticket and 1.5 hour group lesson.

Cannon Mountain (823-8800; cannonmt.com) - Tuesday & Thursdays: 2-for-$54 except Dec. 27 and 29. Wednesdays: NH Residents $20 except Dec. 28 and Feb. 22.

Crotched Mountain (588-3668; crotchedmountain.com) - Two-fer Tuesdays: $22/ea. Ski & Ride 101: Beginners only, $59 any time ticket, rental, lesson. Family Sundays 2:30-5 p.m., $29 ticket, rental, lesson. Every Day: upgrade any same day ticket to night for $10.

Gunstock (800-GUNSTOCK; gunstock.com) - Two-fer Monday (non holiday): $45. Women's Wednesdays child care half price with lift ticket purchase. Friday nights free, after 4 on Friday, free with next day's multi day pass.

Mount Sunapee (763-2356; mtsunapee.com) - Magic Mondays: ski or ride for only $32. Excludes holidays and Jan. 16. Ladies' Tuesday (excluding holidays): women only $39, with luncheon buffet and half-price childcare. 2-for-1 Wednesdays (excluding holidays): 2 for $54. Surf n' Save Thursdays (excluding holidays): weekly savings vouchers on-line. NH Resident Special (excluding holidays): Sunday from 12:30-4 p.m. for $27. Proof of residency is required.

Pats Peak (888-728-7732; patspeak.com) - Pay-One-Price Saturday Nights: $29 includes skiing, snowboarding, tubing, rentals, lesson tips, entertainment. Starts Dec. 31.

Ragged Mountain (768-3600; raggedmountainresort.com) -Wednesday Carload Day $50 for up to five people in one car. Excludes Dec. 28 and Feb. 22. 5- & 10-Pack Booklets. Fully transferable, no black-out days. 5-Pack: $169; 10-Pack: $299 Purchase at participating ski shops or call 877-467-5476.

Wildcat (888-SKI WILD; skiwildcat.com) - Next day $25. Every day, all ages; show yesterday's lift ticket. AristoCat Tuesdays (non-holiday), ages 50+, ticket and lesson $45. Sunday Afternoon: $20. Two-fer Wednesdays (non-holiday), $55. Ladies' Thursdays (non-holiday), for Ladies, lift ticket, ski lesson, plus 10 percent off kids' program discount, $45. Birthdays: free with valid photo ID. Family Fun Pass: 2 adults plus 2 kids, 5 days for $499. Ski & Stay Wildcat Inn & Tavern in Jackson for $57 pp/do Tuesday night lodging & Wednesday (non-holiday) lift tickets.

Vermont

Ascutney (800-243-0011; ascutney.com) - 2-for-1 Tuesdays , non-holiday. Tele Thursdays: Telemark skiers ski all day on Thursdays for $25 non-holiday. VT/NH Sundays afternoons: Residents with ID ski and ride for $25 Sunday after 12:30 p.m.

Bolton Valley (877-9BOLTON, boltonvalley.com) - Vermonter Days: Mondays and Tuesdays (non-holiday $25 with ID). Women's Wednesdays: $25 tickets and free lesson, starting Dec. 7 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Childcare is $15. Excluding Dec. 28 and Feb. 22. Tele-Thursdays: Dec. 30-March 24, demos, lesson and a ticket for $39.

Bromley Mountain (802-824-5522; bromley.com) - Midweek/non-holiday lift tickets are just $25 all-age, all-day, all-season. Family Friday: Paying adult pays just $10/kid for up to three kids. Dec. 2, 9, 16, Jan. 6, 13, March 24, 31, April 7, 14.

Jay Peak (800-451-4449; jaypeakresort.com) - Learn to Ski/Ride: $49 Beginner Zone lift ticket, and 2-hour group lesson. Recruit a Newbie: Bring a never-ever skier or rider, purchase a $49 Learn to Ski/Ride package, get a free lift ticket. Must book online at least 24 hours in advance.

Magic Mountain (802-824-5645; magicmtn.com) - Midweek non-holiday lift tickets all ages $20.

Mount Snow (800 245-7669, mountsnow.com) - Learn n' Turn: lodging and learn-to packages start at $90. $65 Ski Free: lodging and lift packages available daily Nov. 27-Dec. 23, and March 31-April 16. Midweek only Jan. 1-March 30.

Okemo Mountain Resort (800-786-5366; okemo.com) - Okemo Appreciation Thursdays: $39, Dec. 1, 8, 15; March 16, 23, 30; $29 April 6, 13. VT/NH Wonderful Wednesdays: Residents with ID $39 Dec. 7, 14, 21; Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25; March 15, 22, 29; $29 April 5, 12. VT/NH Sunday Afternoon Special: Sunday afternoon from 12:30-4 p.m. for just $22 (valid only non-holiday). Proof of residency required. Not offered during holiday dates of Jan. 15 and Feb. 19.

Killington (802-422-3261; killington.com) - Ski & Stay Free Midweek Package includes 3 nights lodging and a 3-day lift ticket (the free night and day are included in the rate) and is based on maximum occupancy. Available for arrivals Nov. 27 through April 22, non-holiday. Packages must be booked at least 24 hours before arrival. Book online at killingtonresortvillage.com.

Mad River Glen (802-496-3551; madriverglen.com) - Ski for $1: Buy a two-day ticket and ski the next day for $1, except holidays. Sunday Afternoon: (non-holiday) 12-4 p.m. $25. Day-and-a-Half Midweek Special: noon non-holiday Sunday through Thursday. Next day ticket skis the afternoon free. Vermonter Days: Every Wednesday $25 with ID. AARP member discount: midweek $25.

Smugglers Notch (800-451-8752; smuggs.com) - Military Mondays: $29 with valid military ID excluding holidays. Business Monday: Business card gets $15 off a full-day ticket, excluding holidays. Tuesday Demo Days: demo gear $19.95 all day, excluding holidays. Thursday Smuggs U: $29 with valid college ID, excluding holidays. Friday Vermonter Days:, with ID, half-price tickets, group lessons, and rental, excluding holidays

Stowe (802-253-3000; stowe.com) - Vacation Plus Packages: 20 percent (10 percent during holidays) off multi-day lift tickets purchased 14 days in advance of visit;. 10 percent off multi-day lift tickets purchased 72 hours in advance, excluding holidays. Lessons and rentals free with most non-holiday packages.

Stratton Mountain Resort (800-STRATTON; stratton.com) -Stay for Free: Purchase a three-day midweek (non-holiday) lift ticket for $144 and get two nights free lodging at the Liftline Lodge (pp/do). Ski for Free: Two night lodging package at $79 (pp/do) and get two days of skiing free. Available Nov. 27-Dec. 8 and March 26-April 9. Lifts and Lodging: Available Sunday through Thursday (non-holiday) and select weekends: 2- to 5-day lifts and lodging packages $59 pp/per night/do.

Sugarbush (800-537-8427; sugarbush.com) - Daily: Mount Ellen tickets: $47 non-holiday. Offsite tickets: Purchase tickets at ski shops and supermarkets: $55. See Web site for where to purchase. Lift/lodging packages, starting at $69 pp/pn.

Maine

Shawnee Peak (207-647-8444; shawneepeak.com) - Monday Carload Dayz. Before 11 a.m., everyone legally in the car gets a lift ticket for $59 cash. No busses or large passenger vans. Excludes Dec. 26, Jan. 16, Feb. 20. Monday Night Madness: $10 lift tickets from 4-9 p.m. including holidays. 2 for 1 on Tuesdays: (excludes Dec. 27 and Feb. 21). Wednesday Family Day: Buy One Adult (age 13-64) ticket and get a junior (age 6-12) free; Each additional adult/junior $15/$10. Excludes Dec. 28 and Feb. 22. Sunday River (207-824-3000; sundayriver.com) - Ski Free package: lodging and lift from $59.95 pp/pn ($49.95 early-season) includes a free group Perfect Turn clinic.

hey pat, right back atcha....The Boston Globe ran an article Sunday on lift ticket deals in New England this season. I'm listing them out here for those who missed it. Please post and add any other deals you know of that we can all save enough dough to head out West this year

Prices are for lift tickets only and exclude Holidays unless otherwise stated.

Ascutney - Tuesdays are 2 for 1, Thursdays are $25 for tele skiers, NH and VT residents get a $25 ticket on Sunday afternoons

Attitash - Free lift ticket on Friday, December 16th, 1st 400 tickets are $7.50 on Monday, January 17th for "Founders Day"

Black - $20 Mondays - Thursdays

Blue Hills - $15 Sundays 2pm-6pm

Bolton Valley - $25 for women on Wednesdays

Bretton Woods - 2 for $57 on Wednesdays

Bromley - $25 Mondays - Thursdays, $10 for children on Fridays (up to 3 max) with paying adult

Butternut - $15 Mondays - Thursdays

Cannon - 2 for $54 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, NH residents pay $25 on Wednesdays

Crotched - 2 for $35 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Gunstock - 2 for $45 on Mondays

King Pine - $6 lift ticket with food donation on Friday, December 16th

Mad River - $25 on Sunday afternoons

Okemo - NH/VT residents pay $22 on Sunday afternoons, $39 on Thursdays in December (12/1, 12/8, and 12/15 only) and March (3/16, 3/23, 3/30 only) and $29 on Thursdays in April (4/6, 4/13 only)

Pico - College students pay $29

Saddleback - $25 for men on Wednesdays and women on Mondays

Shawnee - $22 on Sunday afternoons, $59 for the whole carload on Monday, 2 for 1 on Tuesdays, junior ticket is free with purchase of adult ticket on Wednesdays, $20 "State Days" on Thursday - $20 (9am-9pm):

Sugarbush - "1958 Pricing" $5.50 lift tickets on Friday, December 23rd

Sugarloaf - $21 on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20th with 3 cans of food

Sunapee - 2 for $54 on Wednesdays, $25 w/5 cans of food on Sunday December 11th

Sunday River - Free lift ticket on Sunday, December 4th if you dress like Santa (advance reservation required - www.sundayriver.com)

Waterville Valley - $1 on Friday, March 31st
