Walter Geens Posted January 26 Report Posted January 26 (edited) could anyone post a link to these please? I m looking for a similar sort of gear (risers) to mount step on bindings on a smaller width board to prevent the tip or heels to dig into the snow when tilted. Sorry for the newbie question, new to this sort of snowboarding but i so want to give it a try. In fact any type of risers would do but as i said, no knowledge about this sort of stuff. Deuxdiesel Posted January 26 Report Posted January 26 https://www.bomberonline.com/Plate-Systems_c_7.html https://www.bomberonline.com/Power-Plate-System-_p_181.html Also check out Carvers Connection- they offer both a riser and a canted riser. https://carversconnection.com/store/ These guys are a little closer to home for you (Poland) https://padride.com/ I hope this helps- D. 1 1 Quote
Walter Geens Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 ok guys, on this advice i got me a pair of those "padride" risers (from a shop even closer to me in Germany) but now i m wodering if that would work on a very narrow board (Nitro 6.0 Scorpion) too, or is that just too narrow ( about 18.5cm or a good 7" at the middle) to use with soft boots unless i put extreme angles in the bindings? Sorry for the maybe stupid questions, but new to this type of boards, but very keen on giving it a try. Quote
Deuxdiesel Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 With a board that narrow, you would probably be in the high 50's for angles, maybe more. Trying to put an edge in an keep it in with soft boots and bindings would be very difficult. It might work on gentle terrain, but I wouldn't expect much. Once you get into higher angles, soft boots just don't have the lateral stiffness needed for making carved turns. 1 Quote
