TWM Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 (edited) Any of the Asian SB carving boards would be fun to try as would be Stranda, but I expect I’m too much of a sasquatch for any of them. Donek Turner is atop my list. Edited October 18 by TWM 1 Quote

Maybe he can bring some Strandas? The Amplid Pentaquark is supposed to be a top production carving board too, I'd love to try one out even though I know it's too narrow for me to fall in love with. They might be willing to send one for demo and then raffle. No Coilers this year? I will bring lots of boards for sure but I expect to sell all my demos in December so any I have left will be from my personal quiver. I do lend them out to friends on special occasions but only to people I think will appreciate them and only when all the rocks are buried deep. They're not going into the demo tent, sorry, but ask me in person at the event and we'll see. I do have four or five JJA C4 prototypes going on sale soon(ish) if anyone is interested. Not cheap though, these boards are in very high demand and near impossible to get with over 100 people on a waitlist and only 20 more boards coming available this season. I haven't made any commitments on the prototypes though and I'm happy to prioritize ASB members before I announce them on YouTube. I'm looking for about $1800 CAD for near new condition boards, 166cm, 292mm waist, 12m scr. It's a lot of money for a used board I know, but that's where the market is right now. I need to complete the educational course that Jasey set for me when he built them specifically so that I could get a better understanding of how small changes in shape or resin choice or carbon inserts can affect the ride. That's why I can't sell them until December; I haven't ridden them all yet! It is my honest opinion though, that these are the best wide soft boot freecarving boards on the planet right now. (In fact, six out of six Coiler Contra riders agree!) Funnily enough, when I started discussing this first run of C4 boards with Jasey, I told him that we don't have to beat the Contra (the previous title holder for best wide soft boot freecarvers on the planet), we only have to beat the Doneks; Coilers being unavailable and Donek owning almost the entire wide board market. But Jasey being Jasey, would never have been satisfied with that. I guess you don't win Olympic gold if you're the kind of person who is willing to settle for second place... Quote

Looking forward to seeing you and your demos! Thanks James! Quote

Hahaha you should tell this to Bruce….we’ll end up with another ten guaranteed years of Coiler production so he can take back the crown 1 Quote
