FTA2R
Hi All, at the end of last season, my old Deeluxe boots (my first and only pair of hardboots) cracked, so I can't ride at all until I get something new. Really don't want to pay $600 Carver's paradise looks to have some good deals. Anyone know if there is any major difference b/w the Deeluxe Track 325 and the Deeluxe Alpine Track 325? They certainly appear to be similar (perhaps identical) - maybe the black and red one is just an earlier version? https://www.carversparadise.com/en_US/products/track-325black-white vs. https://www.carversparadise.com/en_US/products/deeluxe-alpin-track-325-thermo-black-red Any wisdom is appreciated! nextcarve
There is no Deeluxe "Alpine" Track 325. Both are Deeluxe Track 325, where the black / red one is just an older generation of the latest black / white one. Aside from the different buckles they have different generations of moldable thermo liners (newer one is better imho) and may have minor differences in their plastics (flex). The new model has the square buckle which gives you more grip and leverage ability. Sooo much easier to buckle and crank down!
FTA2R
@barryj just confirming "the old model" you referred to is the black and red (2nd link from my original post)

Not only are they hard to get leverage on, those red tapered buckles will also pinch the crap out of ya if your not careful!
