barryj Posted November 2, 2022 Report Share Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) On Sunday did a sunny 60 mile roundtrip bike ride from Olympic Valley CA to 9000ft. Mt. Rose Nevada summit........................... and now Tuesday........ IT'S WINTER! First major snowfall has landed with probably 6 inches Nov. 1st with another 3 inches expected today. Yea! But the Big News is....after a two day sunny reprieve the forecast says Snow Returns Sat. And It Will Snow The Next Seven Days Straight! 40+ inches, 3 ½ ft. expected here at the base of Squaw!! Double Yea!! This storm will add 5-10 Feet of snow on the Mtn. which will create a great base for the Mtn. to open sooner than the late Nov. advertised plan......time will tell! Triple Yea!!!
