Prior Snowboards new ownership

Some of you might have been in the same situation as me.   I've been trying to get a hold of Prior for a board I was supposed to have build since last year and it was delayed and delayed.

I finally got news today and they are under new  ownership and have been going through restructuring this summer.   I don't know much yet and they will be making an official annoucement soon about it.    They got hit pretty hard at the end of last season with supply chain issues.

I'm glad to see them moving forward.

Just another word to use for Lazy People who don't want to work anymore....

I think things changed a lot with the passing of Chris Prior.   It's like anything when I order a Coiler I order a board from Bruce, Donek it's Sean and Vaughan it's Dave and so on.     If someone buys Coiler, the name will stay but it won't be Bruce and his passion.

Looks like they want to turn things around and get back on the track.  I'm rooting for them as we don't have too many alpine board builders.  I don't think they are spending much RD in Alpine but they are still available.      I am also hoping to get my board, been waiting for a long time.   Someone I know dropped by the shop and they were working last week.    The issue right now seems to be topsheets.

We ordered a custom board from Prior in Nov of last year. It seemed to be taking a long time to get the board, so we made some inquiries. Supply chain issues, but all was still moving forward. We waited further. After waiting for a long time, we reached out to Prior again, several times. They had previously been great in responding to emails and calls. But we could not reach anyone at the factory. We tried and tried. Called again last month and the Prior representative we had been working with picked up the phone. I couldn't believe I got through. He described that they were under new ownership and apologized for the lack of communications over the last months. Board was near completion and would be shipped shortly. We received it late last month.

I did get my board a few weeks ago.   Looks like they are trying to bring the ship back to normal operations.

Looks good so far but I was told they had problems with their core supplier and had to start making cores themselves.   If true it will definitaly change how their board ride.. for the best or worst I don't know I haven't tested mine yet.
