Popular Post big mario
Second iteration of my new Thirst, first one came out a little to flexy for me. On the second try, I decided to up the waist to 20cm, with a .324 flex index. Not quite flannel weather yet, it has finally dropped out of the upper 90's for the first time in nearly 2 weeks. 10 weeks til' snowmaking at the Luv... Thirst XC.m (metal) 9sw tip/tail style 18.7cm ish and a bit stiffer at .304 as I'm looking to beef up preseason, one day I aim to lose people in my trenches like mario Shoutouts to Mark as always for his craftsmanship and personal engagement with his customers!

I'm expecting it to ride like a dream as the reviews for the tesi8 (8RW w/ metal) have sounded good so far.
yamifumi
Representing Virus here. The board is new to me and I got this board used from German website with very good price. The seller was gracious enough to send it to the US . Board: 176cm Black Death Zylon Evo. 15cm width I cannot believe the board is from 2013 and still looks awesome in 2022!! I love the Zylon/Carbon combination. #magicdust #frankthetank Now where are the snowy weather !? Edited August 5, 2022 by yamifumi

SunSurfer
@yamifumithat's almost a skwal. You'll need a little bit of outward canting at those binding angles. Edited August 5, 2022 by SunSurfer
slapos
@yamifumiseems that you go more narrow year on year! Looks great that board!

I actually have inward cant with lift on the front bindings and just a heel lift on the rear (i usually ride with inward cant and heel lift on the rear but I got rid of Inward cant on the rear for these narrower boards). I do have just enough outward cant on rear boot to not have boot pressure. i never liked the outward cant on bindings even with narrow board. I actually have board that has 14.5 width (Virus Cyborg 181 Hypercarbon). narrow boards are super fun and I love being more forward stance. Last season went from “18cm? No way” to “man, I love 15cm!”. just ask @b.free Edited August 5, 2022 by yamifumi 1 1
TLN
I got old Virus storm with, I think 17cm waist. Same as gladiator. In addition to swallowtail that I posted earlier. Now I'm thinking if two new boards for the season is enough. 1

weather_nerd
Four new softboot boards for this winter! No new alpine boards this year - waiting to do some demos at MCC The two on the left are a Stranda Cheater 170w and a Stranda Descender 162w. The Cheater will be my new softboot carver and the Descender will be an all-mountain freeride board that can still carve. The next two are mellower all-mountain boards that I bought as NOS. Third from the left is a 21/22 Rome Freaker 157w. Definitely the most playful of all of my boards, but still camber dominant and wide enough to carve deep. The furthest right is a 20/21 Yes The Y 154. I think this will be my main pow board this year, but we will see. It is replacing a K2 Instrument that had several core shots at Silverton last year . It's possible I will sell one or both of the Rome/Yes boards if they don't fit in my quiver. TBD...

It's NOS from 2019. 176 cm length, 19.2 cm waist, 16.5 m sidecut. I swear this will be last board I buy until next year

Will he be in softboots or hardboots? I was looking at Nobile's Ti racing boards with Allflex inserts as well. Very tempting, but I decided to get a cheaper board for now. I will need to save for an Allflex setup. The GS board I picked up has Vist inserts, so I may look for a Vist plate as a cheaper alternative to Allflex for the near future. I'm looking forward to trying my Nobile. I've only seen a few reviews online but it seems like they have a good reputation as a manufacturer. Perhaps they will grow their international market after having some athletes in the 2022 winter olympics.

Nobile is one of the top quality manufacturers. They do a ton of OEM manufacturing with swoard and korua being the most notable ones. Boards are camber only and very lively. For the upcoming season nobile has decided not to produce a new raceboard model. Maybe they will come back in 23/24. Only Polish riders rode nobile in the Olympics in Beijing. They have a lot of stock though, so if you are interested in getting one from Poland I can help you with that. Let me know when you try it - I am curious about your opinion!
