For sale: Donek Freecarve 167 - $450 incl. shipping OBO

Recommended Posts

Thinning out the quiver to make more room for next winter. I am selling my Donek Freecarve 167 cm board. This was my first hardboot board and I have absolutely loved learning on it, but I am now ready to graduate to a bigger/meaner board.

- Ordered in October 2020, ridden about 30-40 days (mostly 2-4 hour days).

- Built for 160 lb rider

- 167 cm long, 19.5 cm wide

- Variable sidecut from 8.5 to 10.5 m

- Base condition: 8/10. Some dings from normal riding, a little ptex here and there for deeper dings. Nothing even close to a core shot. Lots of structure left. No base grinds yet. Currently has a coat of cold temp storage wax (pictures of base show storage wax - it is actually a very clean base).

- Edges: 9/10. A few small dings but I usually keep them free of burrs and polish them regularly. 1° base bevel and 3° edge bevel.

- Topsheet: 8/10 condition. Some noticeable binding rash. Other than that, there are only a few scuffs and a couple dings around the edges.

Perfect board for a smaller male rider or a female rider, or teens getting into the sport. It was great for me to learn on but it still performs for advanced carving if you have a nimble touch. I used it for a couple of USASA slalom races and it was great, though it is not really a racing board. I have measured about 4 mm of camber, so it's fairly forgiving to ride. But still very snappy!

Asking $450 with shipping included anywhere in the lower 48 states.
