Pat,

The “Rodeo hand” topic next to yours has some great riding examples. Jack has a video of himself that’s great. Look at everyone’s hands and imagine them holding a bar—you’ll find it’s mostly parallel to snow and across the board (at least in good riding conditions). If your hands are in that position your shoulders and hips almost have to be decently aligned, and if your eyes are looking across the hill where you’re going then you’ll be very well put together.

Freecarvers in general probably reach down for the snow too much instead of keeping hands higher, but it’s just sooo addictive.  😄
