SOLD Winterstick Custom RS 166 BX

Recommended Posts

SOLD.

166cm, 27.5cm waist, 10.5m avg VSR. Excellent condition, built in fall of 2018. BX-ish carvey freeride board.  Premium construction with Titanal inlay, carbon fiber net, p-tex topsheet can be waxed and ground.  Decambered nose and tail, mellow camber.  4x2 ten-packs.  Used only by me in combination with my alpine boards, so not a lot of use.  Never used with hardboots.  1 grind, edge bevels at 1-base, 3-side.  No damage, no issues.  Some liftline scuffs.  Awesome board, just selling to fund my next custom Winterstick!

$600 plus shipping.  Bindings not included.

a LOT of board here. great deal too Jack! if i didn't already have almost an identical board to this, i'd take it. someone at cva should snatch this up. one of the better bx race boards available to purchase. stiff, damp, holds, rails, bombs. not for the faint of heart. good luck with the sale. one lucky person is getting a deal here with this one!

Indeed, to buy this board new would be over $1100.  I got a discount so I am passing that forward for my ASB peeps.

Fast board, would do well in a BX or BSL course.

SOLD SOLD  Madd BX 166  "The Defibrillator"  [photos updated below]  SOLD SOLD
Spelled: "Defribillator" on the board. Actual length turns out to be 165cm long with 24cm waist. 28.9cm tip and tail
Stance width: min: 17", middle: 20-1/8", max: 23-1/4"
Not many of these ever made, and it's a shame.
Carbon fiber wing - the topsheet has a few miscellaneous light scratches - no delams.  No dents or dings.  It doesn't look like any repairs were ever made.  No stripped inserts or other nonsense.
The base has a few light random scratches with nice structure, no gouges.  Edges are sharp, with a little oxidation here and there.  The edges are thin (50-60%) in one area, but mostly great with no dings or dents.  Black Dakine "spike" stomp pad.
$400 SHIPPED TO USA, Paypal + 3% or "friends"

Ok...here’s a review of my new baby
After years of searching for the perfect soft boot carving board, and coming up short, I decided to have one built for me. Best snowboarding decision I ever made!
Thank you Bruce Varsava from Coiler Snowboards.

Near perfect condition. Only ridden prob 10 runs since owning.  Rotate boards often and don’t spend much time in soft boots. $600 takes it away, priced to sell.  Email me for more pics.  PRICE DROP! $525!!

All I can say is I’ve ridden it twice. And I bought it... has all the characteristics of boards I’ve loved and none of those I’ve hated. Your welcome to ride it if I’m not on it which will be almost never...
more to follow. Shred needs to chime in here eventually

Have a Virus BX 168 for sale. According to Frank from Virus, it's a prototype from 2014. I acquired it in 2015 and haven't ridden it at all.
The base is like new. The top sheet has marks on it from bindings. Edges are good. Camber is as original.
I'm asking $600 U.S. plus shipping, as Frank said that's what it's worth.
The markings stamped on the top sheet read 68 14 001 (168cm, 2014, 001 designates first prototype)

Saw this and thought it deserved to be here. These riders carve with impressive style.

      They really friggin’ hurt.
      really though other than that.
i have a new set of drivers, I like them, sort of. They are better than the old malamutes.
So, for a long time most high end boots came in one of two configurations either a hinge type that works better but they are much softer or like the driver where to flex forward it forces the boot to deform this crushes the foot, that shit hurts and it’s because the driver has no hinge.
It looks like it’s still this way with most brands..
I’ve had a couple sets of 32s and Burtons that hinge, this is a better design, why the hell cant they just build one with a stiffer tongue?
Anyone have an answer to that?
Pictured is a hinged design.. I actually forgot I had these boots.
