lowrider
The silence is deafening with respect to a workable plan for reopening for the 2021 season.Given the fact that the first wave isn't over ( in my opinion). What will your a resort have to do to make you feel comfortable going forward. At my local bump the push has always been to max out bodies on the slope. Memberships lessons special promotions etc. seems to contradict what needs to happen in the future. Like another moon shot toilets appear to be the fly in the ointment. Ice fishing has never really appealed to me but i guess it's now an option !
SunSurfer
Bridget (the speaker) is the CEO of the combined Cardrona & Treble Cone ski resorts here in NZ. This is the 3rd of a series of videos the company released about its' plans and operation, the 1st as NZ went into Level 4 (highest level) lockdown, then the 2nd & 3rd as we gradually progressed out of that to Level 2. The country went to the current Level 1 about a fortnight after this video was released. At Level 1 the ski resort is functioning as normal, having opened on June 26th. All the videos are on Cardrona Alpine Resort's YouTube channel. Edited June 30, 2020 by SunSurfer

Her plan still seems short on details . I think it would be helpful to do an actual walk through of what one would expect upon arrival. davekempmeister
In any presentation on this subject, I think there should be parity between time spent on the resort's plan and the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL SKIER/BOARDER. Zero tolerance of and Consequences for noncompliance.
SunSurfer
Any resort's actual plan will depend upon the situation that applies at the time in question. Cardrona changed and updated their plans as the situation changed. The videos talk about the principles that provided the foundation for those changes. Any one who says they can predict what the world or your local environment will look like in 6 months is indulging in wishful thinking at best. lowrider
SunSufer your trip is 5 weeks out so i would expect the future is fairly predictable and i hope you have a very good time under relatively safe circumstances. For those of us on the other side of the pond the future is an absolute mystery and after Dr Fauci's talk today with congress it's not looking good. His words "We're in for a lot of hurt" are not the words i wanted to hear.
