slopetool
I'm heading over to Bachelor for Fri. and Sat. Oh, yes. I do love riding in crowds. Thanks for asking.
Mike T
I'll be at Bachelor Saturday and Sunday. I don't think the crowds will be so bad... "normal" people have completely given up on skiiing this season :D
Galen
Friday will probably be more crowded then the weekend. Wells Fargo day: go into any Oregon or western Washington Wells fargo and get a day pass for 10 bucks. It'll be a little like "canned food day" which is kind of brutal as far as crowds go. jason_watkins
Actually, canned food day this year was pretty empty. Not weekday emtpy, but not the crowd you'd expect. I'll be there tomorrow and saterday, possibly sunday too. Hope to see some of you guys. I'll probibly have radios, and I'll defiantely have my cell on me (503-381-8125). D-Sub
hey hey! 1" new! woohoo!
Mike T
Timberline was not bad but not great today. Most of the 5" of new snow blew off the runs and into the canyons. Some of it stayed on lower Palmer and there were hero turns to be made for most of the day where it hasn't blown off altogether. Where it had blown off, the snow was *VERY* dirty. Looks like the wind has been doing a number on things. Overall there were more rocks exposed than last Wednesday even with the new snow. The snowfield proper is still in good shape, although the surface is going to be icy and chunky most days until it gets a good dose of warm sunshine. Jason, D-Sub, I'll try to give both of you a ring this weekend. Riding Sat and Sun only - gotta work tomorrow :(
