Trencher
Looking to pick up one or the other this season. Any thoughts or suggestions?
scottishsurfer
I've ridden the soul 159xt it's a really nice soft boot carving board but I found it overly soft in nose leading the board to want to turn tighter than I would like. It is a great board if your looking for your first dedicated soft boot carver. I addition due to width and rocker in nose it was a very good laid back powder cruiser
pauleleven
SG also makes a Titanal version of the Soul, which is massively fun without wanting to kill you.

JohnE
Never rode an SG. My buddy & I got Fluxes. We both love them. Great softboot carver and rides great in powder. Sean will customize it to your liking (weight, length, width and SCR).

How stiff is the flux? 6 hours ago, scottishsurfer said: I've ridden the soul 159xt it's a really nice soft boot carving board but I found it overly soft in nose leading the board to want to turn tighter than I would like. That’s one of my concerns is the flex. What’s your weight?
JohnE
I'm 5' 10" 160#. My buddy is about 6' 1" 250#. Sean tailored our boards to suit our weights. He does custom graphics well too. This seems like an all-purpose carving board. I never find myself guessing "did I pick the right board for these conditions?".

What’s your weight? 6foot and 200lbs, ive essentially replaced it with a custom donek incline that has one of the stiffest cores they make
