Kurt Swanson
My wife and I are planning a trip to Utah this March and we will be staying somewhere in Park City. (haven't nailed down lodging yet) Where are the best deals on lift tickets for Park City, Brighton and Solitude to be found? Thanks, Kurt
Pat Donnelly
Don't overlook Powder Mountain and Snowbasin. https://www.standard.net/opinion/guest-commentary/guest-op-ed-powder-mountain-five-years-later/article_7ec3d40b-5102-53cf-940d-7915dfc0946c.html Staying downvalley in Midvale has some lodging with lift ticket offers. http://www.skisaltlake.com/lifttickets.htm http://www.utahskiing.org/slc.htm Ski City Super Pass - Brighton / Solitude / Snowbird / Alta (no boarding allowed) https://www.skicity.com/ Edited November 8, 2018 by Pat Donnelly
b.free
Is Alpine snowboarding with hardboot not alowed as well?! I heard that it can be alowed as a mono ski?!?
Pat Donnelly
"Alta has been referred to as a “skier’s mountain” for many reasons. It is known for its scenery, diverse terrain and for the uncanny quality of snow that it receives season after season. Also, Alta does not allow other types of winter recreation other than skiing. It is a watershed, so no mechanized vehicles are allowed. The ski area has decided to be “just for skiers”, so other snow-sliding equipment is not allowed. It is one of three areas in the United States that does not allow snowboarding." https://www.alta.com/the-mountain/mountain-info/alta-fine-print-and-info-policies "Alta Fine Print and Info (Policies) Important info for your skiing at Alta Equipment Allowed (Skis) Alta Ski Area is for skiers and restricts equipment other than skis (which means skis that have metal edges, retaining devices and are attached to ski boots by bindings) for anyone who wants to ride the lifts and ski the mountain or play around the base areas." Kurt Swanson
We have already made reservations to stay in Park City. I'm planning on riding two days there and one day each at Brighton and Solitude. In the past we have purchased lift tickets in Salt Lake on our way up to the mountain, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of discounts online or in Salt Lake? Emdee406
Sadly Vail Corp have made sure there are no cheap deals anymore for Park City.

I have a new Coiler BXFR, that I haven’t really had a chance to ride yet, so I’ll be out on that anyway. If it stops snowing

Great meeting you and your wife and friends for a few runs! As I said, hats off to you for tackling the bumped out fresh snow (not to mention the pea soup fog in a resort you didn’t know) in hards so well, on your Donek Rev, hopefully the next time we ride together, it’ll be perfect corduroy! And yes, I’m now getting sore from when that skier ran into me... I feel as though I’ve been punched between the shoulders, hard enough to get whiplash! Cant wait to spend 7hrs flying tomorrow! Make some turns for me, have fun! Martin. Edited March 8, 2019 by Emdee406 Omission
